Did a good job showing the basics of getting started, but there should have been more simple patterns. They had pictures of patterns on the back and I had to search to find the corresponding pattern and the one I liked had a description of what it was, but not the pattern to accomplish it. Spent too much time on button holes, buttons for sweater pattern and pom poms that I really don’t think a beginner would be ready for.I was looking for a refresher and some pretty, but simple patterns for knitting and crocheting, so was kind of disappointed.
Gwendolyn Sneed –

Frequent Amazon Customers –
Most information in this little book is about knitting and I needed crochet. Also, I purchased it relying on the name “Design Originals,” with which I am familiar, but that name is nowhere on outside or inside this book!
pkace –
Okay for a beginner. Can actually learn basic stitches and how to hold hook and yarn
Petunia’s Mom –
I found this to be great help. The language used to describe the stitches is clear and the illustrations make it easy to follow. I’ll keep practicing so I can make something other than a BIG square.
Auntie Kat –
My daughter likes it a lot. She said some of the other beginner books used jargon that she wasn’t familiar with yet. This one uses layman’s’ terms, apparently.
