Very pleased with this kit. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Brewing up a new batch of mead in a week or so with it.

No auto syphon all the parts are sub par and overpriced for the quality

Hydrometer was shattered. Didn’t realize until I was unpacking on brew day.

The gear delivered is higher quality than I was expecting, especially for the price. Also, a couple smaller items were damaged an route– kind of expected at the time, because I know a lot of shippers had packaging shortages –and the seller went above and beyond to replace the items. I’m about to rack my first batch of mead right now 🙂

Long story short, in spite of best intentions I purchased this product several weeks before I had the chance to use it and as a result it sat in my garage unopened until a few days ago. On the day that I planned on brewing my first ever batch I started to set things up and that is when I found that the hydrometer and siphon tube were damaged in shipment. I contacted the seller via note on Amazon and within 4 days I received both items. That is what I call customer service.

Well packaged. Contained everything advertised. But the bottle capper is horrible. I have to replace it. I can’t tell what brand of capper I received. We are still not sure the bottles we finally did get capped will stay tight. Everything else seems fine up to this point in time.

I knew the kit didn’t contain everything I would need but when it came time to take a hydrometer reading, the directions stated to use the packing tube that came with the hydrometer to fill with wort and drop in the hydrometer. Well thi a clearly was not accurate because thw plastic packing tube pulled apart in the middle and is clearly not long enough. I emailed the company and they did respond, and said that the measuring tube was not included. So SAY THIS in your directions. I live remotely and dont have a local store to run to for supplies!!

My husband has brewed both mead and beer using these items and has loved every second. All pieces/parts arrived intact and functional.

We used everything that came with the kit. The capper broke after the 3rd or 4th brew. The carboy came with a crack in the bottom. We thought it was an imperfection and couldn’t figure out why it always had a filmy residue on the inside. We took it to our local home brew store and we were told it was a big crack! We have replaced all the broken parts. Very disappointed. Will not recommend.

For the price, this is an excellent kit for someone wanting to step up their brewing game. The carboy came in one piece, the fermenter holds a seal perfectly, all the other parts were as described. The one thing I didn’t like about this kit was the bottle capper. It began to wear out after about 100 bottles. It can get the job done but wasn’t the best piece of equipment.

Also works for butanol fermentation efforts, not that I would suggest such a thing for your first brew.

The kit is pretty good but the hydrometer came broken and the bottle capper doesn’t work well at all and I thought I was going to break the bottles when trying to use it. I ended up buying a different one from a local home brew store that worked much better.

The hydrometer is garbage and reads way off. The bottle capper is plastic garbage as well, rarely seats a cap on the first try. Very frustrating – I barely made it through the first bottling.

This does not include an auto pump style siphon as it says. It includes a plain racking cane and good luck doing that sanitary.Everything else was as indicated .

The instructions that arrived with this kit were terrible. For a first time brewer, this kit was missing several key features like:1) A thermometer2) A working syphoning system3) A funnel4) Useful instructionsIt seems like this kit was haphazardly put together based on what inventory was cheapest. The instructions were horrible. They referred to items that were not included in the kit, and suggested to ferment inside a bucket when every youtube video I’ve seen uses the included carb. I did like the brew day instructions included, but more detail on what each component of the kit was would’ve been very helpful. In conclusion, I would purchase this kit only to fill any holes in your current inventory. As a brewing noob, I’d look elsewhere
