4.0 out of 5 starsThis was fun for the grown-ups in our house to figure out and then teach to the 10-year-old. The set is well made and the deck looks really real. I found the instructions confusing because they use magic-specific terminology, so beginners should expect to take some time to figure this out from the paper instructions. I saw there is a video you can watch online, and maybe that helps. I just think the written instructions should be clearer since this is supposedly for beginners through professionals.Anyway, we are having fun with this and will probably continue to do so for a while!

5.0 out of 5 starsThis seems to be a high-quality deck, which was pleasantly surprising. My nephews and I have had lots of fun with these cards. Overall, they are pretty easy to learn. The low price is also nice!

5.0 out of 5 starsThis deck is significantly better than a similar one I purchased a couple months ago where the company was using different plastic cards. I find this deck to be superior since actual Bicycle cards are delivered. Regular Bicycle cards are inexpensive and easy to find everywhere, so modifying this trick becomes easier. In addition, the trimming of the cards was made on the short side, which makes handling the cards somewhat easier (though more noticeable if you’re not careful).I’m impressed with the quality work and the value price of these items and will continue to purchase from them. Highly recommended.PS: Your deck will come opened. This is not a mistake — it’s needed to process actual branded cards. If you need an unopened deck, you might want to buy a regular one and switch the decks as needed.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is a deck of great quality cards for the magic enthusiast for a very reasonable price! There is an instruction paper which also has a QR code for videos. I am very new to magic and am still trying to get the hang of it, but I like the fact that they were made from the actual Bicycle cards. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who wants to impress their friends or family.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is a great gift for a starter magician, though I will say you will need some kind of container for it if you are planning on wrapping it as a gift because the large page of instructions and the deck come in a simple plastic bag.Without giving the magic away, the deck is specifically made for a card trick – I’m not familiar with this one and at first thought there must be some mistake when I looked at the deck (particularly because the sticker on the box of cards was slit open when I received it. But the instructions are detailed and understandable, and upon reading I began to see that the deck appeared to be exactly as it was supposed to be in order to perform the trick.Looking forward to the recipient’s reaction to getting this (once I find something to put it in so I can wrap it without destroying the instructions!)

5.0 out of 5 starsThe instruction video mentions a coin .. but anywayyyy, always loved magic and do a few amateur tricks here and there. This takes me up a few levels. Really interesting concept and really cool once you understand the possibilities you have with this deck. Nicely priced and shipped fast.

5.0 out of 5 starsYou receive everything you expect in a set of Bicycle trick cards, great quality and detailed instructions on how to perform beginner- to more advanced-level illusions. An instruction link offers the ins and outs of how to amaze friends and family with your skills in the art of illusion. The Svengali deck of cards is one of several must-have magic tools we are gathering to make a box of tricks for an aspiring magician in our family. We anticipate that this will be one of his favorite Christmas presents, because they will help him to master the card tricks he is obsessed with performing.

4.0 out of 5 starsI love slight of hand card tricks and this set makes it much easier overall to learn and execute different ones. You can tell they are different if its something you are familiar with but I doubt the “audience” would. If you are learning card tricks or have someone in you life who wants to learn this is a great gift idea for sure.

4.0 out of 5 starsWe are working together to learn magic tricks. These seem reasonable for beginners. Easy to read and follow directions so far.

5.0 out of 5 starsWe just went to the magic castle last weekend with my kids. They were super curious inside the small gift shop. I’m really looking forward to showing them some of the fun card tricks they saw some of the magicians doing that left them in awe! Now they can also learn for themselves! The QR code showing more tricks is priceless.

4.0 out of 5 starsI’ve been a professional magician for decades now, and though this is a well-known beginner’s trick deck of cards, it’s well worth revisiting the classics, even for those of us who’ve been at it for a while. As a matter of fact, though most people who buy one of these decks often get instructions to one or two tricks to do with it, there are actually many things one can do with this deck of cards. Off the top of my head, with no further preparation than acquiring one of these decks, I could probably perform 90 minutes of close-up magic (not that I’d recommend it). So let’s talk about it, but with the caveat that I’m not going to reveal the mechanics of the deck or any of the tricks you can do with the deck here in this review.Let’s begin with the quality of instructions included with this trick (since I assume many people buying it are not experienced professionals). When you open it up, the first thing you’ll find is a one-page written guide that tells you the basics of how the deck works. That’s not really enough to get you started. However, it contains a link to a couple of videos that WILL be enough to get you started. Do they teach the finest tricks possible with such a deck? Far from it. But they do give you enough to get you going with a couple basic tricks and even a couple more advanced ones, so I think they’re a good start. Serious students of magic can then find the necessary resources to graduate to other ideas later on.But I think what we really want to know about is the deck of cards themselves. The first thing I’ll say is that I was impressed to find these are not some cheap knock-off decks of cards (as far too many of these decks are). They’re made out of Bicycle brand playing cards, which are what most professional magicians use and trust for their quality. So you’re getting good cards here. The way the cards have been “doctored” (since I don’t want to say exactly how they’ve been prepared) is well-done. Personally I’d prefer a subtler touch, but I think the way they’re done here is probably better for beginners, and subtle enough that I think most people will get away with it most of the time.I did find it a little strange that the deck was sent in “separated” form (if you know the deck, you’ll know what I mean), so I had to spend a couple minutes getting everything in the right order. I’ve never seen one come that way out of the box before, and it seems a bit lazy on the part of the manufacturer, but no real harm done. One other thing that I found is that there’s a label stuck to my card box indicating the value of the relevant card in my deck. Personally, I would prefer if they hadn’t done that because now I need to either find a way to remove that sticker or move the deck into a different box. Again, not a big deal to do either of those things, but a minor flaw in the packaging. At the end of the day, though, I got a much higher-quality deck of cards than I was expecting, and I’m certainly happy to recommend this version to any budding magicians out there. Just don’t expect to be able to work miracles the minute you open it up. The deck will do a lot of the work for you, but it still takes practice to make it look right.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is a nice magic trick deck for the affordable price. The set itself is pretty basic, but that’s what I was expecting for the only around $5 cost. The best part is the QR code that leads you to video instructions so you can see exactly how the tricks are done. Great for visual learners. Mine took quite a long time to ship to me, so just be cognizant of that if you’re on tight deadlines. Overall, would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 starsGood price for good cards. Regular bicycle, which is always more convincing. Reasonable instructions, but one should also look at the many videos. Many tricks can be done. The only weird thing is that the cards were not arranged. Half a random deck next to half a deck of force cards – I have always had them mixed in properly (not a biggie). Can’t beat the price.
