1.0 out of 5 starsWe loved the versatility and speed of the pressure cooker. After only four months; however, the pressure float came out during building up of pressure and it would no longer build to full pressure. We’ve tried contacting the company via email, but have not received any response. The technology is an addition to a pressure cooker, lasting less than a year is a big letdown.

4.0 out of 5 starsI put in a 2lbs sirloin tip roast directly from the freezer with stock. In an hour and a half, it told me it was done. My expectations were very low, but I wanted to test it. The meat was fully cooked and shredded easily. I was thoroughly impressed. I will say that I was in my basement working when the steam released, and I wasn’t expecting it. It was LOUD. Be prepared for that.

5.0 out of 5 starsI was a bit hesitant to buying this, because the reviews said that the food comes out undercooked. I gave it a try with the thought “worse comes to worst, I will return it”. Turns out it’s better than the standard pressure cooker. It takes less time to cook the food and the quality is much better. The standard pressure cooker takes about 12 minutes to cook rice and it was always either watery or sticky. This one took only 10 minutes and the rice came out perfectly. I tried other foods as well and I had great results. I really don’t understand what people are complaining about. Maybe they are not using the right settings? Or the lid is not closed properly? I noticed on my first try the lid wasn’t closed properly and the steam was coming out of the pot while cooking. It takes a try or two to understand what it needs. Other than that I personally think it’s a great investment.

5.0 out of 5 starsJust buy it. The app is great for me, I’m a bit slow mentally these days. The parents only fed us frozen pizzas. So the app teaches you everything and each step to cook.

3.0 out of 5 starsI wanted to like this thing but the whole time it was only momentarily convenient it’s not too large in size the smell from cooking is strong when it builds Pressure it’s slow it’s easy enough to clean but the in app recipes aren’t detailed the videos skip steps and wont give you enough details more than a YouTube short or tiktok would provide not only is it the biggest selling point of the product the pairing and connectivity of remote control cooking leaves something to be desired for about a month it worked fine but a week after my return window ended I got prompted with a firmware and app update that now leaves my phone constantly expecting a connection that can’t be made by the smart cooker I’ll reset and remove the device from my account even made a new account even switched wifi and outlet to accommodate the device and still I’m manually using the smart cooker with a selling point of how convenient and smart it is but I’m rarely ever able to get an accurate reading Off the scale and a notification when Meals are done it’s not often I’ll review a product but for an item I could’ve got 50$ cheaper on AliExpress I would’ve expected better support my issue of not being able to use the app Amazon support offered step by step instructions on how I can manually use the device as if it wasn’t Already apparent my advice to whoever chooses to purchase better off going with AliExpress it’s cheaper and frankly you’ll get the same level of support

4.0 out of 5 starsIt’s a nice device, but it’s not amazing. The biggest complaints I have are that I wish the screen would tilt upward so you could see it better. Its current viewing angle is not that great. And also, I wish the controls were a bit more intuitive. It takes too many clicks and scrolls to get a simple cooking going. Lastly, I wish they had more healthy options in their recipes. Like low calorie, low carb, more veggie options, no sugar added, etc.. 90% of their current selection is definitely not considered healthy and will make you gain a ton of weight.

5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve been cooking dinner for more than 50 years. I’m at the age where I don’t like to try new recipes because it’s too much mental strain on me to find a recipe, read through it, then follow it step by step. I never thought I’d say this, but it’s too much work mentally, and it’s too much physical strain to stand at a stove, so I stick to simple cooking at my age. Then I needed a new pressure cooker, came to Amazon to find one and came across this gem. It looked easy enough for me to understand, it was digital, and the reviews were great, so I took a chance and paid twice the amount I would have paid for a regular stove top pressure cooker pan that only is used to pressure cook.I’m glad I took the chance!!!This Chef iQ is like having your own personal chef standing next to you telling you step by step how to make amazing meals! It has made cooking fun and easy again! The app has many different recipes, including beef and barley soup which I have been wanting to make for years but have no desire to stand at a stove cooking…now I can have my Chef iQ tell me step by step what to add, and the best part is thr scale. It weighs the amount of water you put in, it weighs the meat (no more digging through the garbage to see if it was 2 pounds roast or a 3 pound roast) it weighs it for you!A dinner that would have taken me hours, and dirtied many dishes and pans, is now made in one pot and it does everything for you!It took 30 minutes to pressure cook 5 pounds of roast. When it was done I pulled it apart some of them and added some BBQ sauce and we had pulled beef sandwiches, then saved the rest for dinner, again using the insta pot to steam veggies to add to the beef to make a stew. It took less than an hour to make 2 meals!Washing the unit is simple, just make sure you remove the gasket ring and wash under it, then replace it.This unit has made 2 elderly people become instant chefs! My husband can’t stand for long and for years had to give up making his famous rice and beans. I came back from walking the dog to find a plate of freshly made rice and beans waiting for me, and a husband with a smile so big because he was able to cook again! This pot gave us more than easy and amazing meals, it gave us back the pride and confidence that we can once again make difficult recipes that used to require standing at the stove all day and using and washing many pans, it’s given us more time together and has truly made life easier for both of us!I highly recommend this product for everyone! It would have been amazing to have this unit when I was in college, to be able to cook full meals in one pot without knowing how to cook would have been so great as a college student living in a dorm! This makes a great wedding gift, housewarming gift, college student gift, and just a great gift for everyone you love and want to make their life easier!

5.0 out of 5 starsBought an instant pot that rarely wanted to get to pressure despite following recipes and direction. Ruined several dishes. CHEF iQ is much better. Even able to follow same instant pot recipes. Recipes on app are great too, but app isn’t perfect. To clarify, it works perfect, but cook times aren’t as stated. But this review is for the machine, A+. Just FYI with app recipes. Glad I switched early.

5.0 out of 5 starsI love my pessure cooker it’s easy to understand. I can actually work it from my phone. I’ve had a couple different pressure cooker and this has been my most favorable one and I like most of all that you don’t have to release the pressure. It has an automatic release on it.

2.0 out of 5 starsDidn’t have any luck with thisReturned it after a few triesThe lid closed but the cooking wouldn’t start it just kept reading close lid Frustrating

3.0 out of 5 starsThe Chef IQ is very smart, but there isn’t any help to modify a recipe down to only 2 adult servings. All menu items are for feeding a family of 4 or larger, so making a meal just for my wife and myself requires a lot of guessing and manual settings. I’m surprised it won’t weigh the meat and adjust the required amount of liquid and time for the pressure cooking.I also sometimes wake up at night and like to watch your videos; however, even after silencing my iPhone, when I open the app and watch a menu video there is enough unwanted background noise to wake up my wife.

5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve been on the hunt for a while now for a pressure cooker that comes with lots of features, i have a small apartment so it was important since i don’t have the space for multiple machines. i also love making a lot of different meals and dishes. I was considering the ninja one for the longest seeing it in store, but i found this on amazon and this machine is literally life changing. it’s so simple to use and the app really makes it so easy for you to use. i used it to sear steak for the first time and it was great! it scaled my meat, and asked how I would like my steak done. no messes are made too, cooking in this thing. today i’m making chili with this and usually i make that on the stove and it takes me 5-6 hours to slow cook, with this, about 30 minutes!!! i’m super excited to make more recipes with this thing. it’s great because you can come back after a long day of work and school, literally throw things into this pot and in 30-40 minutes you have a meal that would’ve taken hours to cook if it were made on a stove!! don’t hesitate!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 starsI took my Chef IQ to a friend’s house when I visited out of town. I cooked their favorite (babyback ribs) for them in it. And, I accidentally left my Chef IQ there. When I returned home, I immediately ordered a new one. I can’t be without it. I let my friend know that she could use it or keep it; and, if she didn’t want it, I would pick it up on my next visit. (Fingers crossed…there are times when I wish I had two Chef IQs.) I cook everything in my Chef IQ–butternut squash (2 min), roast (1 hr), ribs (30 min), soup (30 min), boiled eggs (5 min)…

4.0 out of 5 starsI’ve only used it for cashew chicken and white rice so far but am loving it so far. I like the fact I can see how much time is left on the app with out going to check on it in the kitchen

1.0 out of 5 starsUsed 1 time and received an error message half way through cooking. When I reached out to customer support there was no troubleshooting and was told they would just send another, it’s been 2 months and haven’t received a tracking number or a replacement

5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve had this pressure cooker for about a year and it is amazing. My favorite features are:Automatic steam release. Who hasn’t been shy about releasing pressure from a cooker? The sound alone used to make me jump, even if I knew it was not going to burn me because the valve was pointed in the opposite direction. Now I just sit in the living room and listen for the appliance to release in the manner I asked it to. Ahhhhh. It does instant, intermittent and natural releases. Truly my favorite feature.Step by step instructions. Now, I don’t really need these, but it is so much fun to choose a recipe and have the app tell you what to do. Need to add a cup of water? Sure, you can add a cup of water after measuring it. But it’s so cool to see the scale tell you EXACTLY when you’ve added the right amount. I can imagine a person who has never cooked anything would love the step by step instructions even more than I do.Next, I love the app. “When will dinner be ready?” Um…. (Open app) “13 minutes and 11 seconds.” I’ll bet you can’t be that precise unless you’re using this awesome app! By the way, even if you aren’t using the pre-programmed recipes, the app still shows you what’s going on and allows you to make changes.I love being able to do almost everything in one pan. Want spaghetti? Brown the meat, sauté the vegetables, add the dry pasta and water, and it’s ready in literally a few minutes. One pot. There is no guesswork in timing. Tonight I selected sous vide, pork, pork chops, one in thick. It set the temp and time automatically and automatically selected sear when finished. This works for whatever feature and ingredient you are cooking.Sooooo many cook functions. Slow cooker, pressure cooker, sous vide, sauté, and the list goes on and on.The only feature that I wish was better is on the app. I wish there were two ways you could save recipes. Right now you can click the heart on a recipe to mark it as a favorite. I would like to see a way to add a folder for “want to try” or something similar. I look at recipes in the app and don’t know yet if they will be a favorite but definitely am interested in trying them. They all get lumped together in one folder which can be inconvenient if you use the cooker and app as much as I do. I did send a request to the company but I don’t know if it’s scheduled for an update in the future or not.I hope this helps if you’re trying to justify the investment. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but if you use a tablet or smart anything I don’t think you’ll have a problem.Bottom line? Just buy it!

5.0 out of 5 starsI really like the unit, I was lucky enough to pick one up on sale through Amazon, my only complaint is that I wish that I could or had the choice of a larger quart sized pressure cooker 6 quarts is a bit on the small size.
