- COCONUT COIR SOIL BLEND: Our bonsai soil contains coconut coir, which is good to seeds germination and can promote the growth of seedling. It is compressed into soil discs (1.5″ in thickness, each soil disc weighs 2oz) for easy package and can expand into 10 times as large as what it was after absorbing the water. 4 soil discs are sufficient enough for the beginning of the plant growing.
- TIPS FOR HERB GROWING: (1) Seeds should be fully soaked in advance. (2) Seed one or half bag of seeds in each pot according to seeding density. (3) Soil disc should be soaked in water before use. (4) Suitable temperature, sufficient water and air, and light shading are essential for germination, but give proper sunlight after the leaves arise. (5) Time for sprout varies from different seeds. Generally it takes 2 to 8 weeks. Refer to the introduction & growing guide for more details.

There were only the pots and base plates in the box. Nothing else. Missing all the necessary stuff to make it a complete set. Very disappointed in the product.
Debbie Kurtz –
All seeds died within 2 months of care. Would not recommend. Used spray bottle, followed temperature and light directions. Very disappointed.

Arrived on time and well packaged. The only issue is that there wasn’t enough soil to plant them so I had to get more soil
Amazon Customer –
Might need a little more soil. It was a gift and the recipient was very pleased.
Monica Y. Drews –
There was not enough dirt to fill all the pots. None of the seeds have sprouted. Do not recommend.

It took me a while to plant some of each of these, they were all planted inside in a temperature controlled environment with plenty of sun. I started with rosemary and thyme since those are the herbs I use most. The rosemary never sprouted, and the packet of thyme is filled with dill seeds. I hadn’t grown thyme from seed before so I didn’t think much of it until a bunch of dill plants grew in my thyme planter. The remaining seeds were all very hit or miss, only a couple seeds of each sprouted, most were duds. The dill grew really well though.

Only 3 of the 7 packets I planted sprouted. Doesn’t come with enough soil to plant all 10 packets. Super disappointed.
Sheila –
Not clear instruction. Seeds did not grow but a few. Some were in peices or seemed to be crushed.
Susan Hogan –
Waste of money. Only had two of the 10 herbs grow. Followed directions. Big disappointment.
Marcela Aceves –
It looks pretty good, I got this as a present and my friend loved it

Thomas M. Thompson –
8 of the 10 seeds i planted failed to germinate
Ashley C. –
Only a few of the plants ever grew and those that did died shortly after. Not enough dirt for all of the pots, only filled about a quarter of the way in each one. Wish I could get a refund.

100% do not recommend and I rarely write bad reviews… but this product definitely deserves it.1) the dirt will NOT fill all the pots2) The seeds are most likely not going to sprout. NONE of mine did and I followed directions exactly.I planted seeds exactly as directed in 9/10 pots. In 1 pot, I planted seeds from an organic honey crisp apple that I had and the only seeds that sprouted were the ones from the apple. Not worth the money at all. I’m definitely disappointed

I’ve had the same issues as others here. Not enough soil (only enough to fill 8 of the pots about halfway) and very poor germination. We planted these 4 weeks ago and only 3 herbs sprouted. I like the little pots and labels. But I’ll have to find new seed.

The seller provided all that was necessary to have a herb garden.
D. Parks –
Not a fraction of the soil needed to fill 10 pots.UPDATE: 2 wks later, not a single sprout & not my first planting rodeo, I’m 65

I thought this would be an easy start up kit, but it is not. I literally still have it in the box months later. 😕 Maybe I should spent more money and bought a more complete kit. This kit comples with basic things: soil, instructions, planter-label sticks, seeds and pots, BUT the pots have holes at the bottom so you need something to accompany the pots. Also, some of the seeds require you to soak for a while and do all this other stuff. I just wanted some soil, seeds, pots and be able to plant. Not with this kit. Maybe I should have gotten something else.
