I velcroed mine underneath my drone….. Can’t even tell – Great addition for long flight 🙄 plan *C*Easy to follow instructions – Supper lightweight

The beacon seams very bright and chirp very loud in my at home test but I had to return the drone so I had to cut off the ONLY ZIP TIE included which secured it to the drone’s leg! I would like more translucent, short zip ties included so I can move it to another drone if needed!

Haven’t used it yet. That’s a good 👍🏽 thing

After almost losing my “Daily Driver”, I bought a cheap drone to ease my anxiety & not have to worry about losing if the kids flew it. I lost the cheap drone twice in the trees and wouldn’t have found it either time w/o my kids keen eyes. Then my prized drone floated off into the sunset. I chased it 2.5 miles ON FOOT as it slowly drifted towards the lake! Well, in Arlo Guthrie style: It didn’t go into the Lake, it went into the TREE! 150ft up, up, way up in the tree!.. And it wasn’t coming down any time soon! I only found it b/c of the navigation lights as it was now dark. If it was the tall grass with the raptors, I wouldn’t have seen it! It wasn’t until 9 months later that it fell out of the tree. Kudos to DJI (EVERYTHING still worked incl/battery!)I ordered a tracker.. BUT, I didn’t realize until I had it in my hands that this was designed for a custom-built drone where it would be inserted into custom wiring harnesses and required custom programming to arm the device and send a keep-alive signal. The final straw was when I realized that there wouldn’t be ANY LIGHTS OR SOUNDS if the battery was damaged or ejected in a crash! And once you’ve lost connection with the controller, it could be ANYWHERE! That was the whole point of the tracker! After doing some research, I found this tracker:* EASE OF MIND when operating your expen$ive drone!* EASY Installation by Zip-TIE* SWITCH from one device to another without re-wiring or re-programming* NO HARD WIRING NEEDED: NO cutting wires, splicing wires, or custom wiring harnesses!* BATTERY ON TRACKER ITSELF (doesn’t rely on Drone’s battery which might be damaged or ejected!)* RECHARGEABLE BATTERY * MINIMAL Weight * NO CUSTOM batteries or coin cells needed * CHARGE batteries in the field or on-the-go * Ample TIME – device continues to operate long enough for you to actually FIND it!* AUDIBLE BEEP (loud)* VISIBLE FLASHING (bright, attention-getting LEDs)* INTELLIGENT Tracker * Senses NORMAL FLIGHT vs LOSS OF CONTROL via on-board inertial sensors * NO COMMUNICATION with drone needed (some devices monitor servo signals) * NO PROGRAMMING needed (some devices need access to custom-switches or custom switch throws – i.e. toggle navigation lights on-off-on to enable tracker)* Reputable/Dependable Industry brand* Cost-effective – extremely affordable compared to the value of the equipment it’s protectingThis is actually a very sophisticated tracker with a very simple user interface. KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid! It’s dead-simple to set up and use, you don’t have to worry if it ‘s working properly, and you finally don’t have to worry WHEN your drone develops a mind of it’s own1Highly recommended!

Unit is not as loud as you’d want, but works well and has an accelerometer to know when crashing hard and to activate. Several other rules it has to know when to self-activate the alarm for soft landing crashes. It has a USB Micro cable to charge it up (~3 hrs of alarming from my testing).Does not need any wiring integrations to slap on a drone with velcro. Just slide the tiny on switch.A good insurance policy to slap on!

The title says it all. The only nit picking I could do is related to the intended mounting. It would be nice to have a path for a zip tie that doesn’t block the LEDs. But that is minor, considering the assurance this brings to the table. I’m ordering more for my other fleet members. 👍

Theze go on anything i fly!! Definitely a must!

It’s so small and easy to attach to the drone on any flat surface. I attached it with Velcro. The included sticky stuff probably works but I wanted to be able to remove it. It’s definitely loud enough and the light works great. It works as advertised. I haven’t had the misfortune of losing my drone since I attached it, but it gives some peace to mind to know it’s on the drone.

I bought 2 of these and after 6 months both units had battery failures. Dead and would not charge. Total garbage

it work’s very well.

If it were easier to mount, it would be perfect.

Purchased 3 and one does not work. They are not loud enough either and does not work as intended

Another added solution to help Drone Pilots recover a lost Drone. It’s small easy to attach to your Drone. A must have for all Drone Pilots.

I lost my 1st drone. If I had a beeper installed it would have been easy to find. If you don’t have one of these or the kind that wires into drone power then you will probably lose your drone too.
Old Timer –
I have used it about 5 or 6 times and it works as advertised. My only wish is that it was a little louder. I have old ears and I have to get within approximately 20 ft before I can hear it beeping. People with good to average hearing will be able to hear it from about 40 or 50 feet away. However, it is a good usable product and I will activate it every time I fly.
Chriss –
It helped me a lot and is loud enough to find it earlier.I now have 3 of them because it was so e great help for me!Maybe the attachment could be improved at the itemside for better anti skidding. It works … but could be little better.

Works great. Made recovering my drone very easy. Also good for flying at night so you don’t have to add an additional strobe

I lost a drone in tall grass or a tree in my neighbor’s field. I purchased another drone and installed this alarm. It’s self contained so you don’t have to solder it to the drone’s power leads. The beeper is loud and at night there is a bright LED. This will at least give you a chance at finding your lost drone.
Dan Schorr –
I did not read it very well, I wanted it to strobe light all the time. It only does when it is really dark. But I velcro it to the bottom and added protection. I lost one $200 drone.

I haven’t crashed my Phantom 4, so no real world experience with that part of it.I love how light and small it is. The LED is bright, and the sound level would be loud enough to hear from a short distance, especially when paired with your GPS data.I definitely will buy more of these as I buy more drones.

It broke after a few uses and I can’t repair it myself so I don’t use it now
BROCIO –
OVERVIEW:THis thing works great on you toys that don’t have a flight controller or no options for a buzzer. It also works great if you don’t want to solder to your flight controller. The buzzer is pretty loud. I have not measured it so I can’t say if it meets the loudness stated in the description, but it is significantly louder than those buzzers rated @ 90db.PROS-Loud-No soldering required-No flight controller required-Easy use to attach with double sided tape or velcro (be warned that veloc backing doesn’t want to stick to the shrinkwrap real well)-Seems pretty impact resistantCONS-Expensive for what it does compared to other buzzers-It really needs a case so that you can attach with a zip tie (I’ve lost two of them because I forgot to turn them on during line of sight flying and have them pop of and not notice that they popped off.). Remembering to turn it on seems like a rookie mistake but, most of the other buzzers are connected to flight controllers so, essentially they are always “armed” and just waiting for you to hit the buzzer switch on your radio or for your battery to get disconnected in a crash)Recommendation:I use this on FPV wing build that are running KOPILOT because it’s not possible to put a buzzer on those you are using the SBUS connection. If you have a flight controller and don’t mind doing the soldering, then I think there are better and cheaper options out there. The pro of not being connected to a flight controllers is also a con of not being connected to a flight controller, you can’t control it with a switch (more useful when you haven’t crashed but just landed in high grass). If you forget to turn it on, then it is easy for it to pop off and not notice that it is missing (because it is not connected to a flight controller, you never hear any beeps, so you forget that there is a buzzer on there, so it is easy to forget about it all together, that includes forgetting to turn it on

This thing is really tiny yet powerful. Simple to use, no connection to battery or receiver is needed. It detects motion, or lack of motion and daylight/darkness to perform functions. I turned it on, waited a minute then dropped the locator onto a table and it activated as described in the instructions. It was also able to detect when ‘found’. I like that it can apparently function for two hours, then, if dark, shut down and resume beeping again at daylight. This is a well designed and well thought out device and I wish I’d had it a few days earlier when I lost my Aeroscout in deep brush. Would have saved me a lot of time and scratches! I’m ready now!!

I just am lost for words this little device saved me from losing $1400 . I am soo glad I purchased it the price is unbeatable and it pays for its self over and over again. I will definitely recommend 👌

This is an amazing product! Great value for price! Easy to use ,this is a must buy for drone enthusiast it’s a great back up lights are bright and sound is pretty loud for such a small device

Initially bought the wired version and was pleased. Tried this “Beacon” version and I must say I love it just as much. Being a standalone unit, it can go on most anything. I bought a second a few days later! If you fly quads or planes, this will give you the ability to fly over nice soft tall grassy fields without fear of losing your craft. Since it has its own battery wired up, im not even worried if I wreck and eject my quad battery. Will buy these as long as I fly and they’re available!!!

I buy one of these for ever new drone I buy. The money vs how much a lost drone would cost is a no brain er.
