5.0 out of 5 starsI got it only recently as I had some extra money just kinda lying around. so I bought it. I do not regret it at all. The mouse is comfortable in your hand, the weight is nice and you can actually CHANGE the weight to your liking, the mouse is incredibly responsive and is able to play games that require a lot of movement and shooting very easy like Ultrakill or Destiny 2. I actively felt more accuratel being able to change my DPI on the fly so when I’m playing something like Battlefield I can lower the DPI for something like sniping and put it up to normal anytime I’m in a fight. Scrolling through forum pages is also great. The mosue wheel itself is very slick and smooth but still incredibly accurate. The little extension on the mouse right next to the number pad on the side is great and allows your thumb to rest there and use it as a simple and normal moise. The general quality of the mouse is insane for JUST underneath 30$ I actually use it more then my Razer Naga Trinity mouse. I genuinely thought I burned some cash but I freaking love this mouse and have actually thought about ordering this for my friends.

5.0 out of 5 starsI don’t use the lights that much when I’m at work so that may be why it holds a charge so long but it works great. The side buttons are a little close together, I sometimes hit the wrong ones.

4.0 out of 5 starsDPI buttons not programmable. Otherwise the mouse is nice.

5.0 out of 5 starsI use this UtechSmart (wired) mouse heavily about 50 hours per week for 3D art, Game development, and Gaming. It’ll last between 3 to 4 years at that rate. I’ve owned two, each for well over 3 years.PROS:1. Affordable – This mouse isn’t the cheapest mouse, but at $32 USD, it’s worth its weight in gold.2. Durable – It’ll last about 3 years with heavy use, and well over 4 years with normal use.3. Programmable – I love having 5 profiles for different games; I use different colored lights to know which profile I’m on. I set up custom macros all the time with it, and it’s really easy to do.4. DPI – This thing has more than enough DPI. If you think you need higher DPI, you’re doing something wrong. The DPI buttons are great for switching mid-game if you pick up a Sniper Rifle, and they can be programmed just like the rest of the buttons.5. Thumb Buttons – I live and breathe these buttons. I use them instead of keyboard shortcuts all the time. This mouse will pay for itself with all the time it’ll save you over the years.6. Comfort – I’m 5’10 and proportionate 😉 and it fits my hand perfectly. The thumb rest is a feature I never knew I needed, and the ring finger indent also feels great. I don’t use the extra weights it comes with, I prefer it light af.CONS:1. CLEANING – Grime is just part of owning a mouse, this one can be a little harder to clean with it’s many buttons.2. Medium Click Sensitivity – I prefer this, personally, it cuts down on accidental clicks. I’ve owned a $60 Razer gaming mouse in the passed that was too sensitive. If the Razer was a 9 out 10 as far as sensitivity goes, the UtechSmart Venus is about 6 out 10 when it comes to click pressure. Like I said, I like it better for almost all applications.Whenever people ask me what mouse I would recommend, this is an absolute no-brainer, and I’ve never had anyone buy it and not completely love it.

5.0 out of 5 starsI just returned the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless because of software issues primarily. This was quick and easy to setup/configure. I prefer the simple ui of the software compared to the bloated software from the majority of the well known brands. In my initial gameplay it has been extremely accurate and comfortable. I honestly cant believe how premium this feels and functions for the price and really regardless of price. Ive literally owned every major brands mmorpg mice paying up to $200 and this seems like it will actually work better for me than any of those. As long as it holds up for at least a year this is a winner in my book.

1.0 out of 5 starsOut of the box, the side buttons register as ordinary digits, the same as if you pressed 1-0 keys on your keyboard. If this is good enough for you, then this mouse might work for you. Unfortunately, if you need to reprogram the buttons, you’re out of luck because the software that you can download from the company’s web site does not work. Depending on which version of the download you get (yes, even though both say v3.1 in the file name, they are different files depending on whether you land on the product page or the FAQ/Knowledge Base), either it says “Gaming mouse not detected” and refuses to launch at all, or it launches and looks like it’ll let you re-program things, but when you click Apply, it says, “Please connect the mouse.” This is unacceptable for a mouse that’s been out for several years, and I’m scratching my head as to how Amazon allows them to continue to sell this defective product. 0/10 would not recommend.

3.0 out of 5 starsI was able to pick it up and just use it in the games I like, but the wireless feature seems cheap and the lack of linux support for configuration is a bummer. I plugged int he cable and use it wired and leave it on the lowest sensitivity and it works great that way. This works for now, but I’ll look elsewhere for the next mouse… if I see something that looks better this might be a backup.

3.0 out of 5 starsI’ve had this mouse for two years now. And I was pretty pleased with it for awhile. But after two years, I have to charge it once a day. It gets pretty annoying as I am using my PC quite frequently every day. And at this point, I might as well be using a wired mouse. I will say that it is a good mouse for gaming and MMOs. Just don’t expect to use it for more than 2 years before the constant charging becomes annoying.

5.0 out of 5 starsI recently replaced my laptop Naga with this one. Affordable and has the comfort & button layout I have come to prefer. Compared to the Naga wireless (which really isn’t wireless; as it requires the charging stand wired in to operate the mouse wirelessly) this is great! Only two issues with the mouse is 1) 2 buttons behind mouse wheel can’t be key mapped 2) the mouse doesn’t have much range on its sensor (so can have tracking issues on some surfaces/pads. Otherwise, (so far) loving it.

5.0 out of 5 starsYou don’t have many options for a 12+ button wireless mouse. I’ve tried nearly all of them. This one does what you want it to do at around 50 instead of over 100.It has the buttons you need. They’re placed where you can reach them easily. Little wonky setting up the macros for them, but it can be done.Fit is relative. But this fits as well as others. The part that rests under your thumb is ok but I’d like it sticking out more so my thumb can fully rest on it instead of sorta. Might be too big for some, but then you’re looking at double the price for the naga – that uses a AA.Battery last about 24 hours of use, probably less, then you have to recharge it. So, if you come home from work and play 4 or so hours, expect to have to recharge every week. (I have a charging block with c cables by my desk and just charge every so often for an hour, like when I go to eat or exercise. Come back and I’m ready to go.) So, for half the price I’ll take charging it more often.

5.0 out of 5 starsTook a little mapping but I use this on Guild Wars 2, and I am simply loving it. I cannot see playing without it now. I would have payed double the money and still get it.

5.0 out of 5 starsI purchased this mouse because of 3 things. (1) How many programmable buttons it has. (2) The numbers on the buttons light up, making it ideal for when you have to game at night, with low room lighting, you can easily still see the side buttons. (3) Rechargeable. This thing is awesome. The Interface for programming the keystrokes and macros to the buttons took me a little while to get used to, but once I figured it out, it’s awesome. I HAD to get a mouse with programmable buttons for Helldivers, because I wanted to be able to reinforce soldiers quickly. It’s great.

1.0 out of 5 starsi wanted to like this mouse, and to be fair, i cant find anything wrong with the mouse. the issue is with the software. i have the correct software and everything is detected. but there is absolutely no way to make a profile. an mmo mouse can only be as good as its software and you have a program that only lets you set 1 (one) profile. ok………. what about if i want to play a different game………… oh i have to go and reprogram every single last button? i would happily rewrite this whole thing if i saw the software get updated but something tells me i can put money on it wont.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is the best mouse design I’ve ever owned, I think, with some trouble spots I’ll get into. The macros on the side are easy to use with thumb; the most important buttons I’ve found to set up being back (alt+left) on key 4, forward (alt+right) on key 1, close tab (ctrl+w) on key 6, open tab (ctrl+t) on key 3, and an autoclicker macro on key 13. I find this to be very ergonomic for browsing and probably could no longer go back to having to use a keyboard to work in a web browser; these keys are also widely used for other applications and inside Windows (e.g. File Explorer). I found the compatible macro software to be pretty intuitive. It’s easy to toggle off the RGB lighting with a button on the mouse itself. The left-click button failed on me after around 3.5 years, was no longer able to click and drag. This is not a bad lifespan at all for a mouse I use every single day (excepting maybe one week per year), and I should point out the battery still holds charge just fine, too, which I find impressive. I think my bigger concern is that it’s very difficult to clean this mouse, particularly the scroll wheel, which on mine is often filthy and I need to use a pick to clean it out. You can’t remove any of the parts. All the parts are still intact and functioning well outside the click mechanism failing on one button, though; notably, all the rubber pads on the bottom remain attached and in good condition, could’ve lasted another 3.5 years, I think.I re-ordered one, and if it weren’t for battery lifespan issues, I’d order 20 and be done for life on ordering mice.

5.0 out of 5 starsIt’s worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 starsI looked the feel of it, though during gaming my thumb would hit one of the side buttons all the time. But as I was getting used to it I noticed it started to not respond. Now it’s no longer usable and past the return date, waste of money.
S. Adlman –
2.0 out of 5 starsWorked great until about a year later with light use. I can only get it to charge if I use a rubber band to hold the cable at just the right angle.

3.0 out of 5 starsI have had this mouse for about 48 hours. It felt good in the hand and worked well, so I threw the box and stuff away. The number 6 button on the side is occasionally having issues, needing hard presses to register. It also likes to snag in registering movement on screen, like the laser is slightly too high from the surface. The second issue is the hardest for me to deal with. I am using it plugged in, not wireless, so I cannot speak on the battery. There are duds in electronics sometimes and I do not blame the company, I just happened to have bad luck with this one.Customer service was on point though, as they immediately reached out to me for a replacement/refund. I edited my review because of this.

1.0 out of 5 starsI’ll start by saying I really like this mouse. Needing multi button on the side for gaming and macros, my first of this mouse lasted almost a year before it just died one day. It’s quite inexpensive for what it is, so I happily ordered another last November. That one also inexplicably died by mid-january. Won’t charge, turn on, or show life.Luckily, I was within Amazon’s holiday return policy, and swapped it for my third. As of March, the third has also died in the same fashion. If you want to just try an MMO mouse? Go for it. If you expect it to work long-term, don’t get this mouse.

3.0 out of 5 starsThe new software download is from a Google Drive and my computer virus software freaks out anytime im about to download it. the old software pre 2019 never did that. Now its 2024 and I buy the mouse again, thinking I can just use the same software as the previous 3 other mouse’s and I need to download something that 3 programs deemed as potential viruses that could harm my computer. Could I get a zip file sent to me instead? this is crazy.Update:I contacted utech support and they are looking into the software bug issues on behalf of me sending some information about the issues to them when I was flustered. This will be an ongoing thread and I will keep updated, change my star rating accordingly.Furthermore I love these mouses I’ve had two of them in the past and they are fantastic, I’ve had a razor Naga mouse and it’s not even a comparison this mouse is so much better than that. I’ve even had the red dragon m901 mouse which is fairly similar to this one, but the red dragon m901 broke within a year or so. but Utechs material quality and sturdiness far over exceeded expectations, I’ve had their mouse (which I use for games every single day) since the beginning of 2017. Which is why I reached out to them in the first place.

4.0 out of 5 starsI have to say I LOVE how the mouse feels in my hand. The grip feels excellent and I can press the side buttons easily. The only thing I don’t like and don’t give a 5 star review is that the two buttons bellow the scroll wheel (The ones that control the DPI ) are not reprogrammable. All the mice I have owned before have the option to re-assign those buttons to any other function, so it feels odd and inconvenient not being able to do it in this mouse.Maybe if we all send a message to customer support to do a small upgrade to their software and make those buttons reprogrammable they will listen =) . I think this will make a lot of people happy and this will become THE PERFECT mouse.
