This book is good to teach some basic card tricks for kids. But, there are misspelled words, missing sentences and some of the tricks only give the first couple steps and don’t finish the how to. Overall good for my 7 yr old, but could be better.

I think this is a great way to teach children how to use their critical thinking skills to play games with cards. Its unique and clever however, I didn’t think it was a book for adults.

The tricks included in the book are well written out and described. The author goes through how to do them with clear step-by-step instructions.Unfortunately, the copy I have was littered with editing errors.

I found this book to be an incredible resource for kids interested in learning card tricks. What stood out to me was how it’s designed with young magicians in mind, offering easy-to-follow instructions and clear illustrations that make learning magic both fun and straightforward. The variety of tricks, ranging from simple to more advanced techniques, means that kids can grow with the book, developing their skills over time. It’s not just about the tricks, though; the book also dives into the world of magic, teaching the ‘Magicians Code’ and other essentials that add depth to the learning experience. Beyond the magic, it’s a great tool for boosting confidence and enhancing social skills, making it much more than just a collection of card tricks. The promise of transforming kids into astonishing magicians with just a bit of practice is genuinely fulfilled, making it a fantastic gift for any child eager to explore the art of magic.

I just loved this book and was fascinated with all the card tricks. The process was so gently explained and the pictures were very reflective of what was the next move. I know this says it’s for children but I learned so much and yet struggled to do even the simplest tricks. Practice, practice, practice – as in life.

“The Big Book of Card Tricks for Kids” is an absolute delight for young aspiring magicians like myself. Packed with 30 captivating tricks, this book provides clear instructions and illustrations that make mastering each trick a breeze. Whether you’re a beginner or already have some magic skills under your belt, there’s something here for everyone. What I particularly love is how each trick progresses in difficulty, gradually introducing new techniques like sleight of hand and misdirection. Not only are these tricks fun to perform, but they also help develop valuable skills like self-confidence, public speaking, and hand-eye coordination. It’s been a hit during family game nights, and I can’t wait to continue impressing my friends and family with my newfound magical abilities.

I am always on the lookout for screen-free leisure activities for my kid. Playing cards got me interested in card tricks, so this book is just right. We haven’t done all the card tricks yet (mostly the easy ones), but the ones we have done so far have been a lot of fun. Sometimes you have to think your way into the texts, but it worked out well. What I think is great is that the kid also practises presenting at the same time, which is generally very helpful. I also liked the fact that there were so many tips in the introduction about performing magic in general. If you want to get into the world of card tricks, this is the book for you.

A good source of entertainment for kids. This is something the family can do together or just like the author mentioned, they can put on a magic show

What a fun little book! I can’t wait to use all these on my nieces and nephews. I’m sure they will be eager to learn my new tricks so I’ll have to get them each a copy of this book. I love that the book starts with easy magic tricks and progressively gets more advanced and that the writer teaches showmanship. What I like best about the books is that it talks about confidence and mastery of a skill. What a fun way to teach kids about these important concepts that will serve them in adulthood.

Kids can learn different difficulty card tricks from this entertaining book. Although it does contain a few images, it appears that a child may find it a little boring due to its abundance of texts. However, it also allows parents to spend quality time with their children by reading the book to them and teaching them tricks. And even a parent can learn a few tricks, why not?

My 10-year-old son had some difficulties in the beginning, mostly because he’s more used to seeing these things on YouTube than reading them in a book. In any case, the instructions are clear. I wish there were a few more images, but overall, I’m pretty satisfied.

The Big Book of Card Tricks for Kids has a great selection of 30 card tricks from levels 1 to 3 (easy to advanced). Step-by-step directions make most of them easy to follow. Some of the graphics did not match the description of the trick and made it a bit confusing, but in general, the steps were fairly easy to understand but would take practice (like the book says) to be able to perform in front of people. I think my 10-year-old grandson will be able to master the level 1 tricks in a few hours.

This is a great book of card tricks. Geared toward kids, but definitely something adults can read and wow the kiddos. Simple tricks that anyone can do with a bit of practice. Recommend!

This book delights! An 8 and 9 year old several hours trying different tricks and protested that they had to stop for dinner. The book has a good variety of tricks, the instructions are clear and easy-to-follow, and the graphics help immensely.
