2.0 out of 5 starsVideo quality isn’t bad, but the unit randomly shuts off. I tried using this camera on my Yamaha yxz1000r ss xt-r, and only captured about a quarter of my ride. It really upset me because this was on my grandson’s 5th birthday and his 1st time in the sxs. I have a Eken 4k camera and it’s a much better camera for the money. If you want an inexpensive camera buy the Eken 4k instead. It didn’t matter if I was using battery power or had it powered buy usb the random shutdown was the same.

1.0 out of 5 starsI contacted seller CS about the fisheye problem and they suggest I try to apply the correction. I cannot even get this cam to take photos, only videos! Never mind the app, it app is horrible. It connects but there are no settings to do anything – including correct fisheye – and never mind capture images via wifi, it does not do that either. The only thing I can get this cam to do is be a webcam (fisheye webcam) when connected to a PC. Which is not what I bought it for. Returning.

1.0 out of 5 starsNothing about this product is ok. Customer service is non existent.I received the product and attempted to set it upFrom memory card issues to not being able to get in contact with support , everything is just bad . It doesn’t allow you to record . When I went to Google and even YouTube i saw countless others have had the same issues . Unfortunately I’ll have to send it back . There’s no clear instructions to troubleshoot not even on the site. It’s completely useless .

4.0 out of 5 starsGreat little camera, but was very disappointed when I wanted to use it without the waterproof case…it does not connect to any of my holders/straps without the mechanism on the waterproof case. I reached out to the company but they have not responded on their company website. Wish I would’ve known before…

3.0 out of 5 starsBought this to replace an 6-year old camera because I like the Wi-Fi feature and also hope to have a higher resolution picture quality. This action camera is very similar to most on the market. The price is decent and I don’t have to worry about my kids breaking it.The camera was nicely packaged and the picture quality was decent. There are couple of issues (not defects) that I ended up returning the camera. Most of these were based on my comparison against my old camera that I bought 6 years ago.1. The camera doesn’t pick up audio well, even when it is not in the waterproof case.2. Once recording started, you can’t really adjust zooming in and out unless you stop the recording. (My old camera was able to do that – a function that I found very useful because you may not always set up the right zoom level especially when you are trying to record a live game).3. The Wi-Fi feature is unreliable. Even I am sitting literally right next to it, my phone would still sometimes cutting in and out of the connection and it requires you to connect to the Wi-Fi SSID that the camera broadcast. When it does work, it’s choppy and couple of times I ended up stopping the recording remotely without realizing it while recording my kids’ games).I am sure these might not be issues for everyone but I thought I would just stick with my old camera for now (which seems to be more practical than all the bells and whistles of this one) or look for a better one that fits our needs. Hope the review is helpful to other parents.

5.0 out of 5 starsThe camera is ok. Does not work how I intended on my motorcycle. However the customer service is fantastic. The seller will do anything to make it right. Give their products a chance

5.0 out of 5 starsI took this on a trip and took multiple pictures underwater worked great! You just need to make sure it’s in its waterproof case!

5.0 out of 5 starsFor the price its pretty good. Not the greatest quality but its good. It aslo connects to phone once you download app and can control it with phone.I would consider it a beginner starting point. Overall very happy with purchase.

2.0 out of 5 starsI bought this cam for my upcoming road trip and won’t need it for underwater purposes. The audio aspect is almost as important as the video quality and since the waterproof case cancels out basically all audio I am unable to use it. I called support and no one answered. Quality of video is pretty good as well as audio outside of case. Just wish the vented housing case wasn’t left out so that I could mount it without the waterproof case.

3.0 out of 5 starsI read thru the booklet, tried it out at home and it’s just a lot to figure out and remember. I’m using it to video my MX riding in the mountains and track. The stabilization is nice, but I couldn’t get videos longer than 5 minutes. I’ll keep trying. Connection to WiFi, or my phone is difficult. The App doesn’t have this model as a choice to connect with, that sucks!

4.0 out of 5 starsEasy to get set up. I made several bike ride videos. It worked great for 2 weeks, then it wouldn’t download to my phone. Camera was returned for a refund

1.0 out of 5 starsIf you aren’t going to be moving around, this camera is probably a good budget alternative to GoPro. However, since this is called an “action camera”, the performance is unacceptable. The “image stabilization” feature is nonexistent. It’s not that it’s just not as good as a GoPro—it’s that’s it does absolutely nothing to stabilize the image. For proof look up the YouTube video “sjcam sj4k action camera review” by TheOneCanoe and skip to 12 minutes in. There is no difference between the setting being on and off.Secondly, other reviews have mention the app this company touts. It’s on the App Store, but literally doesn’t work other than being able to open. And I don’t mean it’s hard to use/not user friendly—I mean it literally doesn’t work.Lastly, and most egregiously, this company does nothing to stand by the warranty they advertise. I’ve had to open three separate tickets with them—one of which asked me for a video demonstrating the aforementioned image stabilization issues, which I provided—and have yet to get a resolution from them, or even a response. After a few email exchanges they stop responding, and I have to open another ticket just to get a reply. Amazon shouldn’t be letting them claim to have a warranty because it’s been over a month since initially reaching out, and they haven’t provided a resolution.Overall, this is a piece of garbage for anything other than non-moving video. Don’t waste your time, because they certainly won’t spend theirs trying to help you with any warranty concerns.

1.0 out of 5 starsThis is exactly like the other no-name Amazon cams.Camera is ok for price.. audio is bad and you CAN NOT use the app to live-view or review videos.Only way to get your videos is removing SD card.I’m a technical guy and I can’t use this software, don’t waste your timeThe 1 star is because you get a basic cam without needing your phone.

5.0 out of 5 starsWith the underwater case, the camera records good video, but no audio.. there is no way to mount without the case, so almost useless without mounting in the underwater case.Addendum..after seeing my posted review complaining about audio quality in the waterproof case, the manufacturer contacted me and supplied me with a mounting frame that allows good audio.. I adjusted my review from 2 stars to 5..

2.0 out of 5 starsIf you’re simply trying to capture your point of view then it works well. If you want to capture good quality videos with clean audio, this won’t cut it. It’s not really 4K and there’s always a slight buzz noise when you play it back. That’s on top of the voice and surroundings barely being picked enough to even hear.

5.0 out of 5 starsUsed it to record the suspension under a vehicle.Works well, quality video and audio.Definitely worth the money. As far as the app goes for your phone, the model I purchased (SJ4K) was not an option. Just choose a random camera and it will allow you to sync to your phone.

5.0 out of 5 starsI’m disappointed but might be my fault cause I did not research enough before buy the camera , I was under the impression that this product will work as video camera , and it does technically but , not what I need …the camera resolution is not good enough for me, neither the audio recording, I guess this camera was designed for other applications ☹️…I’m updating my review to 5 ⭐️, first of all a “Shot-out” for Costumer service at SJCam, they are great , they contact me about my review and offer me a better camera, as SJ6 pro, this camera is the SJ4000 but in esteroides, better resolution, stability and sound , way better camera , please don’t get me wrong the SJ4000 is a good camera for many proposes and a great price, but if you asking me , I’m willing to put a little more money towards to get the SJ6 pro camera , you’ll not disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 starsCould not see the pictures I was trying to take. I normally wear glasses ,but you can’t wail you are snorkeling so I was never sure if It was videoing or not so I just pushed the button every once in a wail hopping it would give me something. And it did. Whished I could have control it a lot more. The pictures are good. It stayed dry like it said it would. So overall I am pleased. If someone knows how to turn the brightness up on the screen that would be great to know. Couldn’t find it in the instruction. Doesn’t mean its not there I just can’t find it.My first review was not what it should have been so I am updating it to a 5 star. I have taken the camera to the pool with me and it works fantastic under the water. Either the lens on my mask was tinted or the color of the ocean made the screen not clear but the camera works great in the pool.Defiantly would recommend this camera.

3.0 out of 5 starsI have purchased several of these budget cameras and the single most significant dissatisfaction I have had with them is poor audio reception. The ones with a mic input do some better but for making influencer videos this one just won’t work. Also there is no Tripod mount incorporated in the case and no adapter for such in the accessories. I am returning the camera

3.0 out of 5 starsThis is an average quality action camera if you are on a budget. The battery life is sorely lacking – even with 2 batteries included.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis camera was a great buy. I was able to get it at a great price and love that it can go under water. My kids love messing around with it in the pool , the beach. They dropped it a few times it survived . It seems sturdy and well made. The photo quality isn’t amazing but for a 12yr old he was happy. The battery holds up for a decent amount of time .

3.0 out of 5 starsBought for a trip to use underwater. Most underwater pictures didn’t take. Land/stable pictures are distorted and blurry. Camera turns on easily if bumped. Default is video mode so you have to remember to put it on picture everytime or you get unwanted videos. I would return it but it’s past my deadline so I am stuck with it.

5.0 out of 5 starsThe company responded apologizing for not including a wrist strap and stated that they will be included in their upcoming shipments. There were wriststraps available for purchase separately and the company reimbursed me for the purchase. I must say the response from this company was admirable. As for the camera I have only used it to see if it works as specified and it does and does it very well. I did put a paper towel in the waterproof camera case and placed it in a bowl of water for several hours and it did not leak which stands well for the camera when I do extensive snorkeling with it in a month.
