Love the design. Solid. Had a minor glitch with signing up but reached out to the support and they were immediately attentive to the problem and expedient in resolving the issue.

I got this luggage tag before going on my first passenger train trip. My larger carry-on item wouldn’t fit above my coach seat on the upper level. I had to stow it below and out of my sight for the duration on the trip. I felt that if my bag were somehow lost during my trip, this “smart tag” would make it easier for a person finding it to report its location to me.I was able to create an account and bind my tag and contact information to it within a few minutes. Best of all, there’s no additional charge to sign up for the basic version of the locator service. For those of you keeping score, here’s the breakdown:Practicality- AEffectiveness- AEase of Use- A-Value- AOverall Grade: A

This is a pretty nifty luggage tag and certainly something more apt for the 21st century. It will help to provide your contact information but in a privacy-minded way. Instead of just using a tag on your luggage that has your name/phone number/address that anyone can see at a glance, this smart tag requires a bit more effort (scanning the QR code with a phone). In addition, you can also choose to hide your contact details on the tag’s unique page unless you toggle “Lost Mode,” in which case it’ll also notify you by email when the tag is scanned (along with the location of the scanner if they allow it).The tag’s material seems to be quite sturdy, and the included braided loop also seems like it’ll help to keep the tag attached securely. This will be quite useful with how rough the luggage may be handled. With the PIKEEPER account set up, it was easy to add this tag – I just had to scan it with my phone’s camera app, go to the URL, and attach it to my account. Now I can keep this tag on my luggage without worrying about having all my contact details shown to anyone at a glance!

This whole idea ties back to being able to positively identify your suitcase and never put your name or address on a tag. If the bag is lost in travel the info you choose can be displayed on pikeeper’s website, more info can be added, or you can change any info ( like if you are traveling you can put your temporary contact info & location. ) I have included photos comparing the size to a standard ink pen and of course blocked my QR code for my privacy. You can activate the lost function on their website and If someone finds the bag and scans your tag, their approx location will be reported to you or If they agree, their exact location will be given to you.I did have an odd issue when researching this product. My search engine informed me I was trying to go to an unlicensed website. Be sure to either let the QR code take you or go to the website on the package.I plan to travel this summer and I really like everything about what pikeeper has done as well as the amazing quality of the tag and the included stainless steel attaching loop. I’m not going to call this tag indestructible but it is built …it’s about the size of a credit card but about as thick as 6 cards. Still it’s light weight since it’s aluminum so it won’t add unnecessary weight to your luggage if you are flying. I think this is a super smart way to tag your stuff. it should last many years.I like the way the tag looks and will definitely use it when I travel. I’m very glad I chose this item for my travel gear.

Great construction, sturdy…. But…. I was unable to register it properly via the QR code. I had to return them.

This luggage tag is a good idea! It’s easy to set up the information (and change as needed) that will show up when the QR code is scanned, and nice your personal info is kept private to casual eyes. I like that I will get a notification if the tag is scanned too. The tag itself is made of aluminum and is quite distinctive, which aids in bag identification as well.

This tag was easy to set up and worked when tested. It is a metal and comes with an attachment hook for luggage. It held up pretty well on the first global adventure. Happy with this product

This travel tag(s) don’t disappoint. Very sturdy material and easy to set up on the website. Customers can add as much information as desired with the option to turn on or off any personal details.

I like how visible the tag is (if not just slightly too large) so that it would draw attention to the QR code. Once scanned, the “finder” has access to current owner info…in theory this speeds up the time and logistics involvrd in being reunited with your bag, rather than back and forth with an airline. Thankfully, I have not lost my bag yet, so I can’t say how the location feature works. Info was easy to set up and covers everything needed. The tag is a little loud banging on a ABS case…but like I said, you kinda want people to SEE it and scan it. The tag itself is professional looking (silver aluminum) with rounded corners (no sharp edges). I do wonder what happens to personal info thru their website after time elapses (say business model changes, etc). I like having metal luggage tags. I’ve had them custom made in the past for a couple of reasons – it makes my baggage much easier to see coming down the conveyor belt, and mostly because they have all my info etched into them and secured with a wire cable.PIKEEPER has taken things to the next level!Instead of having all your info carved in there for anyone to see, there is a QR code. Once you set up your account, if anyone scans that QR Code, you are immediately alerted on your phone along with a location of where it was scanned! Additionally, I’ve moved a couple of times over the past few years, making my “etched” tags obsolete. With PIKEEPER’s tag, you can change your info online and never have to worry about your tag being obsolete again! If you’re a casual trip-taker or frequent flyer, I can not recommend this highly enough!

This was an easy to set up tag. Once set up, scan the QR code again and it will show your details to anyone who finds your bag.My only concern is that the large QR code does make it easier to scan from a distance, making your information a little more visible than someone trying to read a standard luggage tag.

Thought it was great. I love the material and durability.

This luggage tag is of hard metal, durable and has several cool features. It comes with a metal strap which can be screwed on to your luggage to hold the tag together. The tag identity is via a bar code which displays the selectable owner info if scanned. Also, when the tag status was edited by the owner to be put into lost mode, scanning the bar code can reveal more owner contact info along with any reward amount that was set. All tasks of registering your tag, editing your contact info are all done thru the website once you register yourself and logged on (no need of phone app). Also in lost mode, when the tag was scanned, the attempt to determine the location of scan depends on whether the scanning person had shared their location. Without sharing, the location was determined by the zip code of the ip address which is way off and incorrect. Regardless of this faulty feature, the tag is still a good solution to tag loss and tag info too revealed. Good product.

I got this for my daughter, because she’s beautiful. And attracts attention if sone truly questionable characters. She travels a lot and the thought of her name and phone number being on her For anyone to see has always made me a little uncomfortable. This thing is not only beautiful and sleek. But I feel better that she roll through airports not dragging her phone number for everyone to see.

I picked up 2 of these for a recent international trip. I didn’t want to spend on GPS trackers and because I’ve been fortunate enough in all my travels to never need one, this was a good alternative. The setup was easy enough to create an account and register the tags. If it ever was lost and someone scanned the QR code, they’d get the basic contact info I setup in my account and could reach me.Funny thing happened this last trip, on our 8th and final leg of the trip returning home, one of my checked bags didn’t come off the baggage claim. My first though was “I should have bought a GPS tag” (which they do make one that also holds an AirTag), but after I filled out the lost bag claim report at the airport, I logged into my account and set the bag to “lost” so that I’d be notified if someone scanner my QR code. The next day, the airline called to say that it must have never left to originating airport in the previous country because it never made it to the connection point, and that they were waiting to hear back from the other airport. At this point I was really kicking myself but a couple hours later I was alerted that my QR code had been scanned, and a couple hours after that the airline called to say they found it and were overnight-ing it to my house.Long story short, although it may have given me more real time info if I had a GPS tracker on it, there isn’t much you can do anyway if your bag is lost except depend on someone else to get or find it for you. With this tag, at least you know that there is a steel cable tied information tag that isn’t going to come off your luggage and gives you a little more space to communicate contact details or offer a reward.I’m glad I got them, they’ll stay on my bags – even if I do get a GPS tracker as well.

You simply register the barcode on the device and anyone scanning it sees only the information that you want them to see. The cable to attach to the suitcase is also quite solid and the etching seems permanent. The only negative is that the literature that comes with it has lots of information on the Pikeeper Pro Version and it never mentions if that is what I have by another name or if it is something else. It is not the Pro Version and an inquiry to the company told me that I can’t even buy the Pro Version yet if I wanted to. Seeing information on a better model make me a little dissatisfied with what I have even if it is exactly what I asked for.

Let’s be honest, it’s hard to get too excited about a luggage tag. However, we all need them and this one is sturdy enough to handle all the jostling at the airport, in the car trunk, wherever. I like that all your personal information isn’t out and visible to everyone as it goes around the airport carousel and registering it wasn’t difficult, so that helps too. Right now it helps me identify my bag because it’s the only bag with a tag like this but in time, as these gain popularity, that extra advantage may disappear.

Very sturdy metal tags. Excited to test these on the upcoming holiday travels.

I guess I’ve never paid attention to much luggage, but I never did like the idea of having all my personal info on a luggage tag… When I saw this I had to jump on it. I love the idea of a tag that 1. is NOT going to come off your bag and 2. doesn’t display openly your personal information. Setting this up was super easy and once I got it locked on my bag, there’s no way this thing is coming off. I really like the idea of this and I’m going to be getting some more! They even have one that’s an airtag style… might go with that next!

The tag can be easily set up by scanning the QR code on it. The tag display information can be edited on the webpage of the manufacturer with the information of the attached item including contact info as well as photos of the item. When it is lost, anyone who finds it can reach out to the owner by scanning the code, and the location will be noticed by the owner once the scanning occurs. The SS material is very durable and tightly secured to the luggage.

Got 2 of these: 1 in silver, 1 in black. They are not super easy to set up. I had the app on my phone, and every time I made a change, it emailed me. That is a LOT of emails ! I was trying to make it easy for us to be able to check on the tags, and it just became more difficult than it was worth. They are currently sitting on my desk, not on my luggage. They are sturdy and attractive, but I’m not sure if they are worth the trouble. Thank you.

I like the idea behind this tag – and I have placed it one a piece of luggage that I most frequently use. However, it is hard to write a review indicating how well it would work if I actually lost my luggage (which is somewhat of a rare occurrence). I would love to see a review from someone who actually used this mechanism successfully as it appears to be quite convenient for the person finding your lost item – scan a QR code and then click a link to either call, text or send an email (super simple). However, without being able to comment on that, at least I can comment on the Tag’s other attributes. The most noticeable to me is the manufacturing quality – which is excellent. The tag itself is made from a thicker metal plate and the cord used to attach it is also quite thick and strong. The cord has a screw-in connection mechanism that holds the loop in place. In short – this thing ain’t gonna come off easily (at least not by accident anyway). The screw-in mechanism does allow for easy removal and transferal from one piece of luggage to another. As for the design of the app – it is fairly basic but does require a registration process. You only need to do this once and then adding additional tags appears to be pretty easy and straightforward. Overall – I love everything about the design of this tag. I hope I never need to see how well it works personally though 😉

It is better than a conventional luggage tag with private information like name, phone number, and address explicitly written up. This is a good protection for privacy and identity. The tag is robust enough to avoid quite worn out and scratched given the aluminum materials. I’ve used it on my recent travel and the tie is still pretty tight. I’d recommend it.

This is a great way to keep your info a little more confidential than written tags. Nice metal build. They were pretty easy to setup. However, with these using QR, you are relying on another person to scan it to get your info to report it lost. Not as easy as reading a written tag but keeps most people from seeing your identity.

I tend to travel a lot and have never been a fan of putting easily human-readable tags on luggage – carry on or checked. There are too many opportunities for a cursory glance to take in more information than a stranger should have. This QR code tag is a nice middle ground. If the bag is lost or someone has a need to identify the owner, then this will work very well, yet still keep prying eyes away.Easy to set up and “bind” (their term for linking the tag to an account you created on their site). Basic data is available to any person scanning, but you also get a notification if it is scanned. You can decide how little or how much information is revealed if you mark your tag as “lost”.I didn’t get a “pro” version, so I can’t comment as to how well its bluetooth “find me” works. The tag is a sturdy thick metal tag with a steel wire for connecting to your luggage (or, dog, or phone, or another object). You won’t need to be constantly replacing papertags, changing information if a family member is using the luggage, or other inconveniences.Overall, a number of uses. Yes, anyone that scans the QR code can access certain information, but the same is true – even more so – with the old paper tags.

This is the perfect a luggage tag. I got it for my son who is in college and travels with the speech and debate team. He flies a lot and I love that his personal info is just not hanging out for everyone to see. It’s a very durable and sturdy.
DLRpuppy –
Attach this to anything you don’t want to get lost. You can enter whatever information you like to associate with it. When someone scans it they’ll see what you input. Website works great, no app needed.

This tag is such a great way to identify your luggage without having your personal information out there for anyone to see.

I hate putting my full name/address/number on my luggage, but I still want to 1)Easily identify that it’s mine and 2)Help others notify me if its lost. This tag is stellar! You just program your info on the site and anyone who scans the code will be able to notify you! Its metal, so it’s also really durable and unique. I’m really happy about this one!
