Thought I would have buyer’s remorse after purchasing this projector, but I did not. Product feels sturdy/reliable and the quality is nice for 1080p. Bought this for camping and outdoor cinema. Jellyfin app installs and works like a charm. The one big plus I noticed so far was the projector used less battery power streaming off an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (USB power + transcoding) than it did through the native Android TV OS. Streamed Dune through stick for 1hr; used around 5% of battery and projector was running cold in Eco mode. Same stream used around 15% (expected) through native OS. Turn off the lights or wait until dusk.

The projector is wonderful… at home… with WiFi. As far camping goes to watch movies it is a joke. A gimmick. We recently went camping. I downloaded movies on Disney+ on my phone, brought my cables to connect, got the kids all set up to watch Star Wars for the first time in the canyon where the first Star Wars was filmed in the California desert. Setting set. Equipment running. Kids and parents jazzed for this moment and……nothing. Not supported. I have Disney app on the nebula. Disney app on my phone. But no way to play the thing. Nebula’s answer….bring a computer without the HDCP restriction or download movies to a hard drive in FAT32 format then download a file player app on the nebula then play the files that way. What a hassle. The entire idea behind this projector is the fact that you can take it into the woods and the weather and watch movies. My phone is dust proof and water resistant like the projector. Not my computer. It will not work with my Apple movies that I have purchased and downloaded either. What a waste. What a disappointment. What a total failure to execute on Anker’s behalf. I reiterate… this is a gimmick. This is a joke.

I think this is the best possible portable projector you can buy for anyone who wants to be outside. It’s bright!! has a huge internal battery and comes with features you don’t find on other projectors. Only thing missing is a software update to bring the Android TV 11 up to date with Google tv with built in support for Netflix. easy enough to overcome with a streaming stick but it would be nice to see this get the software update.

Ordered brand new projector, not cheap, was evident this was a returned item as the seal was broke. No plastic film to be removed, shoulder strap white paper packaging ripped off, power cable not packaged at all. Debating on if I should return, but want to use it this weekend and don’t want to deal with the hassle. I get returned items still might be fine but I shouldn’t have to pay full price for an opened item! Went through setup process fine but getting Hulu, or Prime to work is difficult…lots of pauses and often errors to the point you have to start the application over. Network signal is fine and it’s not user error as Youtube works perfectly fine. Casting from my phone also works fine though getting that image to full screen takes some manual adjusting and is time consuming as you have to redo for each time you launch it. Really want to like this but thus far the $ spent is making me feel buyers remorse.

Gift for my son. He invites the neighbors for movie night! He is the envy of the neighborhood!

I like the item, it is make of good quality. The issue I had is with the bad return policy. You have to wait over month and half according to them to receive your refund.

Top notch product. Great picture and sound. Only gripe would be the UI, which can be very clunky and takes getting used to.

Not very often do we find a product that lives up to the advertised hype- this unit not only lives up to, but exceeds in every way my expectations- build, convenience of use, built in smart features, and performance. Granted, not inexpensive, but the quality build and performance of use makes it one of the best products over ever purchased for the money!

Once you get past the slow and buggy user interface, the video quality is great! The interface is so buggy that I decided to plug an Apple TV into it hoping to fix it. However, my unit continually glitches and switches from the HDMI output back to the original, buggy interface that is android TV. I can hardly watch a movie without it getting interrupted by the projector automatically switching from HDMI back to android tv. Hopefully you have a better experience than I do.I do give it two stars for the portability aspect, video quality, and the speakers.

I like the product, decent lumens, though did not perform very well in colder weather climate outside and downloading videos into the unit was a bit tedious and should had been simpler for end users.
woohoo –
The interface is outdated and very sluggish. No integrated app to play files from USB, you must download a 3rd party app that is clunky at best to play files from a USB. To get Netflix that only uses mouse mode you will need to download another app. Navigating Netflix that uses mouse mode is frustrating.Anker if you read this, please update the software.

Very impressed by this projector

This projector is good quality overall, but the sound could use some improvement. It is a battery operated projector. It can be charged so it doesn’t have to have a power source. One neat feature that is has is that if the lens cover is slid down, the projector automatically turns on. If it slides back up, it auto shuts off. It is waterproof and dustproof so no worries about using this projector outside. The projector can be used as a Bluetooth speaker, but I don’t use it for that, and don’t recommend it as it’s not what it’s made for really. The unit has an ambient light feature which is nice. I can see around the unit even in the dark. The projector can also be used as a power bank to charge through USB C or A if desired. It can also connect to an external sound source by 3.5mm aux jack which is nice because the sound was a bit lacking for me. It is by no means bad and it gets sufficiently loud, but it is a bit flat. It needs more bass/balance. The projector does come with remote which I appreciated. I did have a little bit of lag from the software. It’s a little slow. There is an option to use their app to download streaming apps like Netflix, but I don’t recommend using it because of the lag issues. I use a fire stick and it works much better. It has nowhere near the lag like the projector’s software. This projector can be placed at 2.5ft away for a 30 in screen up to 17 ft away for a 200 ft screen. I have used it at about 8ft away using a sheet stretched tight as screen against the side of my house. The projector does have auto focus and auto keystone adjustments that works pretty well but some minor adjustments still might be needed. Auto screen fit and auto brightness worked well too. The picture looks great at full brightness but at first, I was worried about battery life if I ran it at full brightness, but we were able to get through a movie on one charge no problem. Chromecast can be used if it’s connected to Wi-Fi. It also has an HDMI port, or it can play from an USB device. Overall, this is a great projector that is highly portable. Overall, this is a great projector, but sound could use some improvement.

For clarification, I have reviewed about 100 projectors in the past 16 months. I know my projectors.I love this one. For its classification, it is one of the best I’ve seen. Now, let me give you some advice if you buy any projector, not just this one, but any. Don’t use their installed apps like Netflix and such. The OS for projectors to use those apps is poor the way they are designed to use them. I highly suggest using a Roku or Fire stick (or something else like that) for all of your apps. Trust me, you will thank me. The OS (and there are several out there) that these projectors are trying to use is just not ready for prime time IMHO.Okay, back to this projector. Why do I like it so much?Good battery.Little kickstand in the front works well.Remote is decent.Brightness is actually better than most in this category.Sound is okay.About the only things I really don’t like is the OS (operating system) that they are using. Not as intuitive as I like. It does have a lot of bells and whistles, but I would like the GUI to have been designed by an end user not an engineer. (If you have no idea what that means, it is okay, just geek speak.)The auto keystone isn’t too bad. It isn’t spot on and you will have to adjust a little yourself.Besides those things, it is really a decent projector. The price is high, granted. But if you need a battery projector, you will pay more.By the way, I have reviewed several other Nebula projectors and I have found them all do be good quality. The construction is always great. The only issue I have ever had is with their OS, and that is a personal preference. Again, use a streaming stick and avoid some of their OS issues.I hope this review was helpful!

Bought this for a movie themed birthday party as well as family movie nights outdoors. Picture is crisp and bright. I took my new favorite toy outside on a giant screen (150″, could have gone much bigger), to every room in the house (including the ceiling). Each time the picture adjusted to crystal clear images. Unlike other projectors I returned, the Android TV 10 was very responsive. All my streaming apps worked great (except Netflix but I’ll use a firestick for that as needed). Happy wife, happy kids and happy me. Just buy it it.

There’s an optional storage case that’s available with the projector, I recommend the storage case. It’s one of the best storage cases I’ve ever seen, in the sense that there’s a little extra storage for doo-dads such as audio cables and whatnot, in addition to tidily holding the projector and its accessories. With regard to the projector itself, it works quite well, as advertised. It’s pretty loud, but not loud enough for every outdoor use case, so I paired mine (through an 1/4″ to 1/8″ audio cable) with an old guitar amp that I had lying around, and of course that’s plenty loud for an outdoor movie night. At our recent block-party outdoor movie-night, my neighbors were quite impressed by the picture quality.

Processor is very slow, external connectors to HDMI/Aux not functional. USB-yes. Great keystone function but did not hold a full charge for more than 60 mins.

Very impressed with the HD Quality! So nice to watch any movie or tv outside…and a 5 hour run makes it amazing for camping and portability!
Amazing product –
Love it. Worth buying. I didnt got a tv in a room, and this is worth buying, brightness is good a dim light room. Sound system tho not so bad, but is portable. Battery can last through 3hrs plus.

I am a Nebula fan! They make great projectors and this one does not disappoint!!! The picture is sharp! It has a battery and is lightweight so it is portable and you can easily watch a movie or two before needing to recharge. The sound is loud enough for a small group of people. If you need louder you can always use external speakers. Best of all it has auto keystone!!! Wi-Fi is a plus, but I usually use this outdoors far from a Wi-Fi signal. Great for camping. Note this is also bright enough to use indoors for presentations! It is worth the price point to have a sharp powerful projector!

I ordered this for camping trips. Although I have planned to use it with solar generator so having the built-in battery was not the number one feature I was looking for, what really piqued my interest was its portability and its water and dust resistance rating. The other selling feature that I personally liked was the Dolby Audio. With my old home theater projector which I sometimes used outdoors, I always connected some external speakers (often Bluetooth) because the built-in speakers were not good enough on that the old projector. With this project, however, the sound quality is remarkable! I don’t have to pack any external speakers with me to enjoy good audio for movies.I have tested the projector a few times. Although the auto keystone feature worked most of the times, only once it completed failed me during a camping trip. My theory is that it was because it was complete darkness and it was not able to figure out the edges of the projector screen edges. But when it is able to detect the edges of the screen, it works flawlessly. What I really don’t like about this project?I am not a fan of Google TV so I would have preferred a system that was not so dependent on the Internet, like Google TV is. On most camping trips, there is no Internet available so my goal was to use an external hard drive. What really disappointed me was that it is not as versatile in its support for external disk formats. I was not aware that it didn’t support exFAT. The only formats for external hard drives it supports are these: FAT, FAT32, and NTFS. I don’t use Windows so NTFS is not a format option I pick for my external drives. With FAT32, there is a limit of 4GB for the file size. If your video file is larger than 4GB, you cannot use FAT32 which is a bummer in 2023. I really hope that Anker adds support for at least exFAT but ideally also Apple’s latest APFS.

I was very excited to receive my new Nebula Mars 3 projector. I have used projectors for years on my mural projects across the county. This one is a major let down. Long story short, I spent over 4 hours trying to get the “air cast” feature to work from my iPhone and/or my MacBook Pro. It would not. There are over 5 different apps in this Android projector that supposedly make airplay from your iPhone work. The first one I tried was the one Nebula recommends on their website: “Nebula cast” didn’t work.I followed the videos instructions to a tee. I connected each device to the same wifi network. Would not work. So I tried their “if this doesn’t work” advice, (because they are obviously aware of this problem) which is to create a hotspot with your device then connect the projector to the hotspot. Did not work. Then I tried “air pin” an app which costs $3. Did not work. Next up I tried “Tv and Video cast pro” and app which cost $9. Didn’t work. After about 4 hours and two more useless google air casting apps I gave up. I’m now deciding if I want to return this or shell out $60+ dollars for the Apple AV converter cable and hdmi cable and connect the old fashioned way. This should not be advertised as compatible with Apple products.
