batteries leaked inside their plastic wrap – I had fresh AAAs at home, but got a lot of battery gunk and dissolved ink on my hands unwrapping them

Love this pulse oximeter and would give 5 stars except it is absolutely not durable for hospital use and to its defense it isn’t meant to be used heavily like that. I work in a rural hospital where we rely on these small pulse oximeters to care for our patients and was looking for a god quality one that I could rely on and have used Masimo in the past so I figured this small one would be perfect. It works as advertised no doubt about that just is fragile and has been falling apart the last year and few months I have used it.

Purchased 2 units within two years, one stopped working after being dropped. The other stopped working for reasons unknown. Going back to nonin , previous unit lasted at least 5 years.

Accurate and easy to read in daylight.

The product was a poor quality.Stopped working within a year

This piece of junk fizzled out by the end of the year. Not only that, but I felt like Smeagol from lord of the rings every time I placed it on a patient’s finger. I’ll look to Nonin for my next pulse ox.

I’m a FM physician. Rarely write reviews but this deserves one. Bought the MightySat for HOME use only (5 kids). Not brought to clinic nor ER-no rough use nor drops. Maybe used 20 times over 1 year period. Then display screen went black; but, sensor light works fine.Figured easy fix for a 300 dollar pulse ox. Was told 1 year warranty so toss in garbage and shell out another 300 (but we’ll give you a 50 coupon!).No thanks.First and last Masimo purchase.

I bought this oxygen meter after researching that this brand that most hospitals use. It’s not a cheap $30 oxygen meter. It goes for $300. After using it for a little over two weeks I started having problems. After putting my finger in the device it would just shut off after a couple of seconds. I’m recovering from a severe case of pneumonia. I need to monitor my oxygen level as I’m walking to make sure it doesn’t drop below 90. If it doesn’t I need to slow my pace. This thing is useless. I had no issues spending the extra money for a better oxygen meter. I can’t believe it didn’t even last three weeks. It’s also almost impossible to read the screen outside in daylight. I was forced to walk after the sun went down.

Very easy to use Good Quality. Have tried other brands none lasted more than a week. The Masimo pulse ox works great as expected

easy to set up. easy to use

Extremely accurate. I checked it against hospital grade Masimo monitoring equipment I use for my daughter at night or while napping and the accuracy is nearly perfectly aligned. The Masimo fingertip pulse ox is just as accurate with the much more expensive hospital grade Masimo monitoring equipment. I definitely would recommend.

Had purchased a cheap one last month and it didn’t work half the time. This unit is great works every time within seconds. Highly recommend spending the extra money.

I can’t even understand this product. All this money I paid and the $35 pulse oximeter works better.Blood oxygen seems to work fine but the pulse jumps up and down from second to second as much as 20-30 points making this totally unreliable.

I love my Masimo, in my opinion it is worth the “premium price”. I own several oximeters and this one has the most consistent accuracy when the oxygenation level is compared against full sized hospital units, or against other fingertip units.I also appreciate that it shows the respiration rate (RRp). For me this extra feature was a big deal, because it helped to treat a condition.

There are much cheaper oximeters available, but I feel the Masimo is worth the cost. Many others crowd their displays with small numbers that can be hard to read. This display is very readable. The feedback on accuracy of the readings is also a plus. I completely trust Masimo to give accurate results.

Yes, expensive and yes, worth it. More accurate than other oximeters and more readings Ability to compile info on mobile phone great benefit.

Very easy to use, very easy to read I love itI won’t buy any thing else Masimo all the wayI think it is on the pricey side, but worth it.

Used for two continuous tests last week. Each test lasted 2.5 hours, and again, never turned it off. It ran five hours on same two batteries. Also like that the oxygen saturation levels lock in and do not jump all over the place. I have now 4 pulse oximeters, the other pulse oximeters readings of oxygen saturation jump all over.

Performs as discribed

Can’t take the ICU Nurse out of me yet ( although I changed to home Care now). Best Pulse Ox there is !!!

Very accurate and easy to use. Monitored my oxygen level after being in the hospital with RSV and pneumonia.

Bullet point “”ACCURATE WHEN OTHERS FAIL: When in motion, when hands are cold” absolutely incorrect. readings are impossibly low when cold just like any other fingertip pulse oximeter. “”” – this POS is worse than $25 pulse oximeters when hands and fingers are cold. If I warm up my hands for 5 minutes and warm up the device, I get reasonable readings. This is indoors!

The product was excellent. Easy to use and read. Only problem was it said it kept historical data, but that meant a few seconds as opposed to all night. I needed to keep data all night. If you just need to check vitals now and then, this is a great product and customer and technical service were great.
Amanda Harris –
It’s very accurate and it’s worth the price!!!

I like it’s accuracy And ease of operation; don’t like its short lifespan…
Tara koval –
It is very easy to use and accurate. The app is very nice to keep track of any issues

Accurate Oximeter, breathing rate is an advantage not available in most Oximeter devices. Wish Masimo do modification to guarantee devise stay in finger for people who turn and move a lot during sleep which in few cases led to dismantle of the device from their hand

All good

It’s significantly bigger than the Nonin I’ve had for years. Very bulky in my pocket and “clumsier” when using it. I’m wishing I reordered the Nonin that I broke.
