Seems to be very sturdy, so I hope to reuse these instead of relying on more flimsy cells/trays. Dome is much taller than other brands I’ve seen.

These are perfect because not only are they super stable but also super durable. You can reuse them over and over again, unlike the smaller plastic versions. When you are looking to transplant your seedlings, pushing up from underneath as opposed to pulling out from the top allows for a lot let stress on the roots and a lot less transplant shock.

If you only have 16 plants to start, this is a cute set with what you’ll need to get seeds or cuttings going. The bottom trays and humidity domes are pretty thin and lightweight. The silicone inserts are thicker and sturdier than the typical thin plastic inserts used for larger trays of seedlings. They should be easily reusable. Their flexibility means it’s easy to push plants out once they’ve formed good root balls. They are, however, much heavier than typical plastic inserts — but that’s not a problem in such a small set like these.These are expensive per cell, compared to typical thinner setups with a 10×20 tray, but if you only need one set, it’s not cost-prohibitive, and you should be able to reuse them.

Last year was the first time I started seeds indoors. I tried a few different seeds, but I wasn’t quite prepared and didn’t have the right equipment. You should have seen my makeshift humidity domes. Ugh! This year, I started looking for kits right after the new year. I was intrigued by the LUVCOSY seed starter kit because of the depth of their silicone trays, the height of the humidity domes, and the package as a whole with the planting trays, plant labels, and gardening tools. The silicone trays, which have drain holes, are flexible and sit in hard plastic trays. The dome seals tightly over the tray, keeping the moisture in and serving as a mini greenhouse. I started the seeds less than a week ago and I’m already seeing some of them sprouting. I’m loving this seed starter kit. If I had another 2 or 3 of these I would have made use of them. Very pleased so far.

These seed starter kits are so much better than the cheap plastic trays we tried last year. The dome makes all the difference. It really keeps the soil moist, so you’re not constantly watering and it retains heat so the soil stays warm. There’s even little vents on top so you can control the humidity and air flow. Our seeds in these trays sprouted a whole week earlier than the cheap trays without a cover! I also love that these have matching drip trays, so you can water them and not worry about your window sill getting wet. Very cool kit, looking forward to transplanting our starters in another month.

These silicone trays and domes are heads and shoulders above any other trays I’ve used to germinate my herb seeds. They’re super sturdy and durable, and I’ll be able to use them again and again. Seriously. I’ll never have to toss this kit out. I’ll be able to germinate seeds till kingdom come. So I’m really happy with the kit, in that regard.However, the instructions talk about the full-spectrum lights that apparently come with an upgraded set of trays and domes. That made me feel like there was something missing in the package. I would’ve paid extra for germinating lights. Obviously, Luvcosy makes them, or the instructions wouldn’t have discussed them at such length. It was very disappointing.

I had almost 0 germination rate. Even with new seeds and things that usually just pop up. Like lettuce, basil, marigolds, borage. I used fresh seed starting medium, heat mats, took good care. Other harder to germinate seeds like eggplant, peppers, various herbs and perennials planted in other pots and treated the same, are thriving. I don’t know what’s wrong with these pots.

I really wanted these silicone trays so I began researching and the Burpee brand caught my eye. Except they didn’t have a dome lid and the plant pockets were too shallow. Then other similar trays on Amazon are so small. These trays are deep enough for the plant to establish a decent root and the lid is tall enough to grow some before placing outside. every other year I bought pre potted starter plants but I wanted to start my own seeds this time. mid March might be a couple weeks too late but I dont care.. im planting every herb I eat and every crazy type of tomato I can find! I need more of these kits. ugh.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of this seed starter kit. All pieces are very well made and durable. The colors are as shown in the product pictures. The silicone is a perfect balance between supportive and soft. The drainage trays are nicely designed and sturdy. The clear cover is a thicker plastic than you see in most kits. It’s the perfect height to give seedlings room to grow and sits well on top of the drainage tray. The included tools are actually quite thick and strong. The vent dials even snap in place so they don’t fall out. I bought the kit for myself but it would also make a wonderful gift.

I requested this seed starting kit for review. I will use it to start all my veggies for spring and summer.It is nice to see such a durable and well-thought-out seed starting kit. A seed starting kit made well enough that folks can use it year after year. This is a much better alternative than throwing them away each year thus adding more plastics to the environment.This seed starting kit would be great for starting squash, cucumbers, green beans, tomatoes, bell peppers, and many other veggies. The silicon seed starting packs are a generous size. The humidity dome is a good height with adequate ventilation. The dome is made from a nice thick plastic… not flimsy at all. The tray that holds the silicon seed packs is also made from durable and thick plastic. The tray has ridges on the bottom that hold the seed trays up off of the bottom, thus helping with drainage. Comes with plant markers, and small plastic garden trowels.Well designed, and well-made. Two thumbs way up!

This seed starter kit comes with everything you need to get started growing your own garden. The material is thick and holds its shape well but is still pliable, making it easy to remove plants when up potting. The cells are larger than typical seed trays so hold more soil and fit larger plants so they won’t have to be up potted as soon. I worried the material was too thick, but it works well on a heating mat. I was able to germinate several pepper and tomato plants in the middle of Winter. The humidity dome also works really well, keeping the soil damp so ideal for germination for days without having to water. The majority of my seeds sprouted within a week.Since these are silicone, they’re simple and easy to clean for reuse. These trays should last years.
