5.0 out of 5 starsI bought this to mount onto my helmet so I could record while riding my motorcycle. Everything has been going perfect so far. It’s easy to understand and interact with it. I use mine twice a day, (on my way to work and then on my ride back home. ) and I haven’t encountered any issues

2.0 out of 5 starsThe actual camera is great with all the features but the battery life isn’t so great so you have to buy an extra power source. Make sure to get a memory chip that is compatible.

5.0 out of 5 starsCool new toy! My 1st GoPro and I like it. Just need a few more batteries.

3.0 out of 5 starsThe product itself works fine. However, what one only discovers after encountering the problem is how difficult it is to move the material if you are on a Mac. Both my machines have rejected reading the micro sd cards direct from the camera. Installing third party software is a pain, Android File Transfer worked for one card and then refused to connect to the camera. MacDroid cannot connect via MTP and insists on using ADB which requires USB debugging. This is not a phone. So simply put this is too much work. I am used to pulling the card out of my Canon, sticking it in the reader, and importing everything into Photos. This makes doing it a second job.Unfortunately the return window closed a few days after I came back from a trip. I will now have to sell this and the extra batteries I bought for it at a loss.

1.0 out of 5 starsTouchscreen worked a few minutes out of the box then stopped. I performed the update manually from the Go Pro site…it bricked. Back screen would not come on, could not get the factory_reset.txt to work either. Hours of my life wasted on a new item, what a joke. Returning.

5.0 out of 5 starsI decided to get one for my wife as a gift for our anniversary because a friend of ours has one and he absolutely loves it and I couldn’t believe the video & image quality, all the features, and just how small and portable it is! The problem that I ran into was that I figured I’d save a bit of money and get one that had been returned. It was labeled “Used-Good Condition” but when it arrived, both screens flickered but never actually turned on and it was missing the battery door! I wasn’t thrilled considering our anniversary was a few days away but I returned it and had it credited to my gift card balance to put towards another one. This time I thought, “If I get one that’s “Used-Like New Condition”, surely it will be fine!”. It wasn’t fine. The screens worked this time around and it was in great condition but it wouldn’t stay on for than 5 seconds no matter if you had it plug in, had a fully charged battery, etc.! So moral of the story just buy a new one.

1.0 out of 5 starsUnacceptable..The GoPro that was sent to me was very clearly USED! Not even in the GoPro box!!! Further evidence of it being already used is: It does not have the plastic screen covers on it..When turned on it doesn’t even have me select language or abide by terms/services or any of the typical startup screens a GoPro has! the battery on GoPros usually come half charged, but this came in at 6%! When trying to even take a picture, it is soo grainy, an early 2000’s flip phone could do better! Buyer beware!

5.0 out of 5 starsI knew nothing about the device but that I will learn how to make videos for my work. I opened the box and big surprise! No SD memory card included. device is not complete to start using it. Its like you buy a new car with completely empty gas tank and you need to uber to nearest gas station and get it. And looks like I need to buy one of Subscriptions prices between $30-100 . I feel like I was scammed big pro. Learning process on!

2.0 out of 5 starsI really wish this were more plug-and-play, GoPro’s pretty much the standard for small, durable action cams, but the actual user experience sucks.Quik, the GoPro phone app, constantly blasts you with ads to get the paid version when the base version of the app is slow and frustrating. The Camera itself is horrid for moto-vlogging, the wind compensation will make your audio useless if not completely disabled.Needs a nearly $80 media mod attachment to plug in any type of mic that other cameras support out of the box and after $300+ invested you still don’t get any in-software gain control so you had best buy “the right” mic that plays well with the camera or a $20 gain controller. And lastly it also absolutely eats batteries, if you don’t have an external power source plugged in you can’t record nearly the amount you would expect (circa 20min 2.7k footage tops). It’s very frustrating and annoying.

1.0 out of 5 starsCamera has not worked correctly since I got it. I have written to the seller and advised them of my problems: camera turns off and on during filming w/out my touching the ‘button’…videos are not continuous. Advised the seller of the issue of the side door which is impossible to open “with a fingernail” as per instructions. I read camera instructions and watched videos and still the camera does not operate well. I should have spent the extra money and bought a new camera instead of trusting the seller’s info that the camera was reconditioned – new.

2.0 out of 5 starsWhile the gear is nice and the worked fantastic the customer support is extremely lacking. While trying to resolve an issue with a payment representatives consistently ignored my requests to speak to a supervisor., refused to have an actual conversation, and continually read what was clearly a scripted response. GoPro doesn’t care about their customers and refuses access to the support team they claim is the team making the decision. Buyers beware while their products are nice their support is a 0 out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 starsMy Hero 8 gave up the ghost so I bought this one. The battery life is phenomenal. My 8 would barely last 30 minutes. The 9 lasts a looong time. With the 8 my battery would die overnight. With the 9 I often don’t have to change the battery for a couple days if all I’m making are short (<2min) clips.

5.0 out of 5 starsI use mine for surfing. This camera works great and unlike so many cheaper ones, I can tell when the camera is recording.. No issues here with the image quality or overheating. Go-pro is the only way to go. Overall this is a great camera to capture the surfing pics I wanted.

5.0 out of 5 starsI got the old version 9 to save money. It is super. Solid and well made. Great video output. Took it in the pool and was taking fun underwater footage of the kids. Plan to take it on the mountain bike this summer. I think the new v11 and v12 are a little better with colors from what I’ve seen but who cares. This one is great at almost half the price!

5.0 out of 5 starsGot this as a gift for the boyfriend since he just got the new gr86 (not the one with the brembos) he really enjoys it and tries to take it out whenever. The videos were taken at night and the quality wasn’t entire garbage- just the blaring night lights messed with the quality… but the sound really shocked me how well it picked up his and his buddy’s exhausts. I recommend it entirely for fast paced video taping. Good luck:

4.0 out of 5 starsGood upgrade over my Hero 8 but still suffers from a lot of the same issues as the older model. More resolution choices are nice and the videos are crystal clear. But camera still has a tendency to shut off on its own while recording and after longer periods of use the rear screen flickers quite badly even if the battery is not in it.

3.0 out of 5 starsI have never owned a GoPro camera before, however I have seen many amazing videos of eople: skiing, surfing, scuba diving and etc who use GoPros and I thought it would be amazing to own one to be able to capture my new ventures and hobbies. However, when I excitedly opened the package and looked through everything, I assumed the SD Card was already in the camera. So I put the battery in and attempted to use the camera after downloading the app (a required step btw) and completing the setup process and found: NO SD CARD! I’m kinda shocked and disappointed that it didn’t come included and I’m not sure if my package specifically was the odd one out or what but I hope the seller will offer some insight into this. Also, the battery heats up very quickly even if I’m charging it I noticed the battery drains when not in use so I have to remember to take the battery out when I’m not using or charging it which is an inconvenience. Will update if/when I receive a response.
