Description
- EASIER SEED STARTING: Our Burpee SuperSeed tray with 16 extra-large flexible pop-out cells is designed to simplify indoor seed starting. Just add seed starting mix, seeds, water and light to get growing! Rows are labeled alphanumerically for seedling identification with included Plant-o-Gram diagram.
- SMARTER WATERING SYSTEM: Molded corner slots in each cell improve drainage and soil aeration to set your seeds up for germination success. Deep channels in the watering tray draw excess away from the cells, while the raised perimeter edge keeps water contained in the tray – no spills! Seed tray side handles make it easy to lift and pour off excess water or check seedlings daily.
- SIMPLER TRANSPLANTING: Soft food-grade silicone cells cradle seedlings and gently flex to pop out when it’s time to transplant into your outdoor garden! This system is specially designed to reduce stress on your seedlings, so you don’t damage their roots. After transplanting, trays are easy to clean and reuse or simply store for next growing season. Top shelf dishwasher safe.
- SEED STARTER TIP: Many favorite vegetables, including peppers and tomatoes, must be started indoors before warmer weather arrives. Start pepper seeds 8-10 weeks before your area’s average last frost date, and tomato seeds 6-8 weeks before last frost. Check your Burpee seed packets for instructions on when and how to plant any of your vegetable, herb and flower varieties.
- 100% GUARANTEED: Burpee is committed to the success of all gardeners. We treat each order with care to ensure healthy seeds, plants, soil mixes and gardening supplies are packaged and sent in excellent condition. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, we aim to make it right!

…and I have a big but! After only two seasons, the flexible forward plastic bottoms became brittle and broke, see my pics. Need more than two years of use to get more than a 1 star rating. No thanks!

The corner arrived cracked/broken. It should still work so not worth my time sending back just frustrating to receive a broken item that’s brand new.

Has no dome cover for heat retention

This is my favorite and easiest seed starter. It is reusable and you just pop in dirt and your seeds. The cells are labeled like a grid so you can keep track of whats in each row/cell. The package doubles as a list where you can write what you’ve planted as well.

Burpee product especially this one is bad. I used the 36 slots one and that is better. This 16 cells is a pathetic quality. I think they reduced the stiffness and after I added the soil it is not sturdy and have a bend.

The product was great except for the cracked one. I tried to get a replacement but the page was not user-friendly and I couldn’t get past the part where I click why I wanted to return it.

Works very well and removing the seedlings is so much easier with this kit.

Already cracked. Used with only grow lights. Didn’t even make though first growing year. The side is completely cracked and falling apart. I do NOT recommend.

I love these. I’ll never buy the cheapy ones ever again. I love that there is a tray that the plants can be watered from the bottom. Removing the seedlings are much much easier since you csn just push them out from the bottom of each cell.

All the other seed starting kits I compared it to – had a cover! So I assumed this one had one too, but it doesn’t and that should have been mentioned in the description.Really, how much would it have cost Burpee to just simply include one.Very disappointed because I fell like I am missing a part!

I wanted to love this Sadly I do not It needs a lid Moisture is lost I can’t keep the seedlings moist The cheap reusable plastic trays with lids work much better Sad and disappointed

Why I love and recommend this product:It is easy to use. I just poured soil in each of the cubes and was able to use a pen bottom to make a hole for the seeds.I initially did a top water of all the seeds but after I started getting seedlings I was able to utilize bottom watering with the tray provided.I also love that the seed tray has a labeling system with rows being labeled A-F and columns being labeled 1-6. This allows you to keep track of what is planted where. After transferring the seedlings to larger containers I was able to clean the trays and store them for next season. You have to love reusable products!Next season I plan on getting the larger cups from the same company as well because I was so happy with this product.

Arrived cracked, but seems like a decent product to reuse each spring.
Betty Matut –
Good produce to start growing seeds. Easy to remove for planting in garden or flower pots.

Love these flexible plant trays.

I have problems with compostable seed starters molding and falling apart, or drying out. This worked GREAT!

I wanted a product I could use that was reusable and not just for one season. I saw these so I gave them a try. Both of the ones I’ve bought came broken on the side tabs. Some of my seeds started sprouting roots so I had to transplant to solo cups since they ourgrew these trays but it’s sill too cold outside for them and omg it was horrible trying to transplant them! I popped them out and it was a mess everywhere! Not happy at all!!
