1.0 out of 5 starsNone of mine sprouted. Its past my 30 days so not thinking that I can get a refund or a replacement would be nice. Not sure how to contact customer service directly.

5.0 out of 5 starsThe Kit is nice and well labeled, but anything that requires growing will require patience.. I have everything planted and I will see the outcome.

4.0 out of 5 starsThe kit, thoughtfully curated, came complete with all the essential components needed to nurture a beautiful bonsai tree. What impressed me was the lightweight, eco-friendly material used for the pots, giving them a distinct charm. Although the seeds’ germination was not guaranteed, the inclusion of multiple seeds per bag allowed me to experiment and try my hand at cultivating various tree types.Patiently tending to my newfound botanical companions, I eagerly awaited their transformation. While my initial seed did not sprout, the second seed, a Japanese red Maple, began to exhibit signs of life. Every day, I marveled at its gradual growth, eagerly anticipating the day it would be ready for training, poised to become a remarkable little bonsai tree.

3.0 out of 5 starsWe planted these on 2/15 and as of today (4/14), they still have not sprouted yet. Not sure if we did not do it right or they are just very slow to grow. The instructions did say it might take the several months for the seeds to grow. We will keep waiting and see. Overall, we did have a lot of fun planting them. The pots are colorful and cute. I like that the kit comes with everything you need and that the pots come in different colors so we can color code the plants. One of the pots cracked the second day we planted the seeds. We keep the pots by the window maybe it was too cold (winter in Colorado at that time) so the pot cracked? Each family member picked a bonsai and planted the seeds and we were competing with each other and see whose plant will spout first. We are kind of disappointed that nothing happened yet. They all forgot about their seeds already and I don’t want to give up just yet. I will keep caring for them and hopefully one day the miracle comes.

4.0 out of 5 starsThe only reason it get 4 star it’s because I still have to see anything “blooming”. Follow the instructions to the last detail for better result. The kit it’s amazing and it brings anything you need for a better result.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis is such a nice kit. If you are starting to explore bonsai this will get you started. The seeds are viable and everything we planted has sprouted. The pots are nice and don’t feel cheap. Comes in a nice box.

1.0 out of 5 starsKits are all the same. They have pretty but cheap accessories, and vague incomplete guides that survive on your belief that something you always fantasized about should be easy. You can use the kit, fail at it because the kit doesn’t really teach you how to do what it says it will, or give you the tools you REALLY need. Then you can shrug and say hey, I tried that dream, didn’t work, oh well.Don’t waste your time on this. Even if you are a gardener, don’t. They don’t even label the seeds to tell you the exact species you’re getting so you can look up their care for yourself. To give an example, there are over 1000 different azaleas. Three are commonly used for bonsai, but the kit doesn’t say which one they sent you. For all you know they sent a bush or a houseplant or a vine. Oh and by the way, just so you know, they also don’t tell you which of their plants are safe and which are toxic to your pets. Look it up. READ A BOOK!

3.0 out of 5 starsMy partner has been interested (on a very casual basis) in growing some bonsai trees for a while. This very giftable little box has everything a beginner would need to get their feet wet with this hobby.I was a little surprised that the box contained some seed varieties that I associate more with exterior, in-the-ground type trees rather than bonsai trees, but overall, a neat set to experiment with and learn on.That said – bonsai trees take a long time to grow and are not quick projects.

3.0 out of 5 starsCute kit, but it’s been over a month and nothing has sprouted. Questioning the quality and freshness of the seeds. Directions are very minimal, I would have liked to see more information and a more logical progression of steps. If you decide to get this, my tip would be to leave the wood signs it comes with OUT of each pot. They’re cute, but tend to mold quickly.

4.0 out of 5 starsI love that this kit came with everything you need to grow a plant (tree) to turn into a bonsai. The pots feel like that recycle type material which make them nice and light. I’ve only messed with one so far and, they do not promise the seeds will germinate but, at least I did, you get a few seeds in each bag so you can try a few times with each tree type. The first seed I had didn’t really sprout but the 2nd one (Japanese red Maple) started to sprout and I’m still waiting till it’s big enough to start train and turn into a neat little tree.

3.0 out of 5 starsThis seemed like a really nice kit, with bamboo tree labels and everything you should’ve needed to start, but unfortunately the seeds never germinated and only rotted in the bags.

2.0 out of 5 starsBeen almost a month since I’ve planted seeds from this bonsai kit and so far nothing has sprouted! I have them in a little greenhouse with a seed warming mat and grow light and still not even a sign of anything sadly. I’ve only used half the seeds so I can try again if nothing comes up in the next few weeks. I know these seeds can take a month to germinate and by that time its past the return date. The pots are nice! I do like that they are in different colors along with the label wooden sticks to make it very east to know which seed is in which pot. They’re lightweight and feel nice but not exactly sure what its made of. They say its made of bamboo but its doesn’t feel like it to me so not sure what they did to it. The soil was very fast to adsorb cold water and expand however its not enough soil. They only fill half way to the pot! So that’s a bit disappointing. The kit also came with plastic bags to use to keep in humidity. You will have to poke holes in them if you want some air circulation. If not you will have to remember to take them off for a bit to air out the soil to prevent mold. The instructions booklet has basic growing information for the new couple years. There is no individualized info on each of the trees. They put a link for a more detailed growing information but it went to a 404 error page. Overall I’m a bit disappointed. Nothing sprouted, not enough soil, and not enough information.
