Samsung tried to make a cheap competitor to the air tag. They failed. I’ve had three of these things of different generations, all have failed within months. Random beeping, batteries drained in weeks, malfunctioning gps, you name it. Everything this thing is supposed to do has gone wrong at some point. Don’t waste your money.

Maybe this works well for losing something in a crowded area, but around the house the value is limited. It’s just inconsistent to the point where I don’t trust it. I’ll hit ring and it feels like a crapshoot if the tag actually rings. If it does ring, sometimes it just stop randomly. The Samsung Software is ‘Ok’ at best, like most of their stuff. I’m kind of disappointed I didn’t go with a different option.

This item worked fine for about 2 months. Then it started/chirping beeping every once in awhile on its own. I read somewhere from many other people with this same issue that you could clean of the battery with rubbing alcohol. I thought at first that had fixed it but a month later it has started again. This SmartTag has been a disappointment and it’s too late to return.

I bought this as a dog tracker (as advertised by Samsung under “life” in SmartThings). It doesn’t track specifics very well. It will give a general boundary (one that may be several miles off), and it’s up to you to decide if that is accurate. For example, it once pinged my dog to a gas station that was several miles from her destination. It is very durable in its case, though, and tracked her in our yard.

If the rangeis130meters the accuracy should be much better. My house is on 1.25 acres. If I place the tag on one side of my property and walk 250′ to the other side the app show me and the in the same place. Also the map show me at an address that does not exist. SO…………if you use it on your key ring and your keys are lost inside you house the tag is useless.

This little gem keeps beeping randomly every few minutes. I’ve replaced the battery once. The app doesn’t seem to read the battery well. Samsung’s support page, in their normal style, wants a model # to even get to support. Amazon / Samsung doesn’t bother to put the model number of the product in the description. (It’s probably too complicated for the marketing people to understand.) Since the price was “discounted” I’m betting that this is a lot of SECONDS that Amazon (or whoever) got really cheap and made bank selling. Don’t waste your money. (And the “suits” at Amazon and Samsung, will never improve things.)

The network of phones that will help track is just too small. Samsung phone owners have to opt-in to contribute.I had this tracker on my dog and he was running loose in a busy neighborhood at dinnertime and the only time the tracking app could find him was when he got close to my phone.It’s clear that not enough people have opted-in to make this product useful.

Love em’!If you’ve been on the fence about getting some like I was. You need to just get them now.Keys, personal vehicle that only I drive, wallet,I even found space inside my gaming laptop where it won’t interfere with the internals.A little double sided 3M tape and it’s in there solid.

I bought 4 of these. First 2, liked the ease of setup & connection so got 2 more. 3 setup worked well locations were good. Then after a month or 2 of usage. All the tags & connections disappeared from the software. Tried to reconnect thru the instructions & scanning & doesn’t find them. Threw out the boxes that has the scan design so unable to connect them. My phone does not recognize tags in the Samsung smart things app.

I’m not Apple, I’m Android. Tried Tile and they don’t work well due to too few users. I got 4 Samsung SmartTag2 trackers and they work perfectly. I just ordered 4 more so we can track more than just luggage. The installation, pairing with phone, is a little but cumbersome but worth the effort.

This is a Huge Lies…… this machines are conecting to the network from other divices only…it means that if your kid, dog, or kids are in the forest and nobody with a compatible phone, or devise is net to it, you are lost, will not be location on the app, other than the las place where a divece it was in contact with this airtag…..so all the purpose is gone, only if you live in the middle of the city or inside your home, this would work…..DONT BUY….ALL OF THIS, ONE BY ONE ARE REALLY NOT GOOD LOCATORS.

I bought this so my wife could keep track of me when I go on solo long bike rides. The things I like most is the replaceable battery and the compact size. My wife likes that she can see where I’ve been and the direction I’m currently going.

Bought this for when my daughter goes to the city. Tracking OK, but not 100%. I have seen negative reviews on battery life. We have not had a issue with battery life.

false advertising: no ar mode. s24 ultra, etc, etc. All requirements met. doesn’t work. been researching a solution online and none work. It should just work out of the box. also, the app needs to be more intuitive.
