5.0 out of 5 starsThis six-lead EKG monitor lets you monitor your heart rate and any irregularities between visits to your cardiologist. The device works with your smartphone to take an EKG and record the results. The accompanying software links the device to your phone. At any time, the software permits the user to create a chart of heart rate and any irregularities between visits with your doctor. The software is easy to use to create custom reports for whatever period you specify. My wife has had her aortic valve replaced twice and suffers from AFIB and heart flutter. Her heart speeds up to very high rates way too often. This Kardia allows her to keep track of these events, so her cardiologist can know what is happening to her outside of visits to his office.

5.0 out of 5 starsHad a holter and it showed one episode of afib but was tough to determine validity in a 28 day study. I had purchased this previously but not really used it. Cardiologist wanted to do a three month holter study but my schedule was crazy. I wasn’t going to be able to get to the appointment for placement for a few weeks and was traveling. I grabbed this and started using when I felt episode. I was personally, using this device, able to document several episodes. I then took it to my cardiology appointment where he took one look at my phone data and said we had our answer. Was able to discuss options and protocols then and there and was on rx regiment by lunch! Grateful, very grateful!

4.0 out of 5 starsWorks great. Only issue is now you have to pay to get the extra readings.

1.0 out of 5 starsIt was difficult to get it to read properly. When I bought it and tried using it, it kept saying that the results were inconclusive. What the ad doesn’t tell you is you have to pay monthly to use the most important features. Deceptive advertising, why should I have to pay 10 or 15 Dollars a month to be able to use it?

5.0 out of 5 starsVery easy to use, highly accurate and keeps a great history on the app which is always readily available for a health care professional to very easily review.

1.0 out of 5 starsPurchased this product on recommendation of heart doctor. The KardiaMobile said I had AFIB, took it to heart doctor, he said it is not AFIB. The KardiaMobile can not detect accurately and just caused more stress than it is worth.

4.0 out of 5 starsI purchased this following the suggestion of my cardiologist as a cheaper alternative to other at home monitoring (such as Holter or the Zio patch). It’s not complicated to set up, although I have only had luck using it with my knee/hands. Every time I have tried ankle/hands, it can’t connect. When I first purchased it, I was using the free plan. After about two and half weeks of getting “Normal Sinus Rhythm” readings and feeling awful, I caved and purchased the Kardia plan for $11.99/month to have access to the additional abnormal rhythms. It didn’t take long to pick them up, so I would advise that if you plan to use this seriously, you may have to count on the additional monthly cost.

3.0 out of 5 starsKardia recognizes bradycardia and tachycardia which I believe also can be determined by simply taking a pulse. Atrial fibrillation is the only other specific definitive rhythm available immediately after recording. Other interpretations can be ordered for a price. If you have a history of atrial fibrillation, then this will identify when you are in a fib again. Other than that, everything else that is not normal comes up as Unclassified. It is possible to download a tracing and send it to your doctor if you have concerns.

5.0 out of 5 starsI bought this for myself, and it gave me peace of mind that everything is ok. But I also used it for my wife, and if it wasn’t for this, we never would had known that she has an issue with her heart. Now we can take these readings to her doctor.

5.0 out of 5 starsVery easy to use!! My husband has heart issues. Our blood pressure cuffs doesn’t show arrhythmias. Adding this to his care items has given us peace of mind and something we can show his heart dr.when he see’s him.

4.0 out of 5 starsI struggle with heart palpitations of some sort that come on randomly and without warning. The difficult thing is that by the time you get to see a doctor, your heart has stopped being weird and they can’t find anything. This monitor is small enough that I can keep it in my purse or pocket and so I have it whenever something weird happens and I can check immediately. Without a subscription, you can check for the most common abnormalities, but if you want the full testing, you do have to get a subscription for it.

5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve been having occassional rapid heart rate episodes. Doctor wanted to send me home with a 24 hour monitor but catching an episode was unlikely since I was having them once every few weeks. He ran an ECG in office that showed everything was good. Before out meeting, I had done some digging on-line and suggested to him this KardiaMobile 6L. He agreed so I bought it and recorded my next episode at home. E-mailed the pdfs to the doctor and he called me to confirm I was in AFib. It was all very easy to do.I consider it a life saver since it caught this early when it is most treatable. I was amazed that I didn’t need to wear a long term, hospital quality, monitor to confirm the diagnosis. During the follow up meeting with a cardiologist, he told me that the KardiaMobile pdf showed AFib clearly. He called it Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Could not be happier. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 starsDiagnosed with AFIB, I purchased this through Amazon to monitor the situation. After the first TEE it helped me confirm the AFIB came back after 5 days. After the 2nd TEE it gave me all good news except 1 time it said possible AFIB after a workout. It was due to either the algorithm, the exercise session, or my holding the unit ( 6 lead test is a little more difficult to start than the 1 lead). The cardio exam yesterday shows AFIB has not returned and the Kardia consistently confirms that. It is a product that gives me peace of mind. I did not sign up or use the other services and add-ons, I use my doctor and medical insurance. Also, please note in my visit to Kardia’s website I allowed cookies, now I get ads for this product that interrupt my browsing constantly. I will clear them out today but I suggest do not accept cookies from them.

3.0 out of 5 starsDon’t like that you have to pay a monthly fee to get advanced readings so that’s why only gave 3 stars but it does show my tachycardia and PVC’s and atrial fib.

5.0 out of 5 starsglad I purchased this. It is easy to use and very accurate. I can personally check my heart anytime and I feel better knowing where I am at as my heart improves. Very reasonably priced for today’s technology.

1.0 out of 5 starsWhen I try to use the device, all I get is a message it could not take a reading due to interference. Move to another room and got the same message.

5.0 out of 5 starsI have aFib which is under control with medication. This device let’s me generate an EKG as if I was in a doctor’s office. It lets me save the reports so I can share with my doctor. It shows me that my heart is beating correctly and that I’m not in aFib.
Tony –
5.0 out of 5 starsI took this to my cardiologist appointment and asked if this device is useful. He was familiar with the device and said yes it is helpful to get readings at home between professional 12 lead EKGs.It can be problematic to get good readings if you are in an electrically noisy environment but this has happened to me only a few times. I like that the device will abort the reading if it is noisy rather than ‘guessing’EKGs can be exported to pdf for your health care provider or your own records. The basic, free account detects sinus rhythm only.To analyze for Wide QRS, SVE and PVC one has to pay for the KardiaCare premium membership which includes up to 4 EKG reviews per year by a cardiologist. I signed up for KardiaCare for the more in-depth analysis. I don’t use the cardiologist review, although it might be useful to have the second opinion as it’s included in the membership. My late wife had a congenital heart defect. I only wish KariaMobile 6 had been available in her lifetime.

2.0 out of 5 starsBought in Nov 2023 and it stopped working in Apr 2024. Worked fine until it stopped. Changed battery, but it still didn’t work.

2.0 out of 5 starsI’ve been using this device plus their premium service for almost 2 years now and at first I thought it was good, but as time continued they actively made it worse with their updates. The device before used to be very accurate and now it barely works and is always extremely noise. No matter how I position the electrodes they always produce insane noise. I noticed this was an issue particularly after a certain update late last year that changed its processing. The other and significantly more troubling issue is that they do not allow you to download all of your full EKGs that you’ve taken. I read that they used to do this if you contacted their support, but now they no longer offer it at all and only let you download a report that is auto-generated and doesn’t contain all of the information you want from each EKG even though they have all the data stored on their servers. They basically are locking you from your own health information through extreme inconvenience. The only way to download all reports is to do it 1 by 1 which is highly impracticable over the long term (years). Their premium service price is not worth it either. I only paid because I thought that by doing so would unlock a mass download feature from what I read online. It just gives you two free reviews of your EKGs by a cardiologist, but if we have this device, it’s already more than likely we have cardiologists that we are seeing that will look at them for free and be able to determine abnormalities if present. So, essentially just an overall poor quality device with a significant amount of your health data just being restricted from you. Not worth it.
