1.0 out of 5 starsIt doesn’t work! I’ve stayed more than 36 hours fasting and the result was 1.3.

3.0 out of 5 starsIve been keeping keto for a number of years, on and off. I have used urine test strips as the primary check method. Ive been in Ketosis for a solid 2 weeks. Test strips are showing 6.0-8.0 mmol/L. The ketoscan mini has yet to test above 4.5 ppm. Unfortunately, i cant find a table that compares urine testing to to Breath analysis, to Blood testing. the only thing i have to go off of is that the app tells me im in pre ketosis. The other issue I have is that there are only 300 tests on the unit it then locks itself from testing at 320 tests. Then it needs to be mailed to California to have the sensor replaced and they quote 5 days to update then they ship it back. so if you test 3 x a day, after each meal, you’re only looking at about 4 months then a 30 dollar replacement and shipping to Cali. Really questioning if this is worth the cost and coming hassle to continue use after the 300 tests.I have not decided if im going to keep it

1.0 out of 5 starsUnit only works for a set amount of test uses and then you have it is shut down automatically by itself and goes into disabled mode until you pay manufacturer again to calibrate it to restart the machine for you rip off

4.0 out of 5 starsI used this device for over 6 months now and have been very pleased with how it tracks myKetone level. I would highly recommend this product, especially versus the old way of using the strips and lances!I just reached the 300 cycle limit on the device however and need to figure out how to get it recalibrated by the manufacturer.

1.0 out of 5 starsThe numbers change you can’t get a real result, I tested this out 3x in a row and kept getting way different results

5.0 out of 5 starsOther than the complaint this will require recalibration after 300 uses, the operation is smooth and intuitive. I cannot possibly know if it’s ketone measurements are accurate or not but I’ll just assume they are. The unit works will and let’s you know your ketone level as promised.

3.0 out of 5 starsI thought I’d use this to avoid pin pricks. The readings are all over the map. And way off what I get from my pin pricking device. Not sure if I can mention the name of my preferred pin pricker here, so I’ll say it rhymes with Loco Moto.

1.0 out of 5 starsEvery time I blow into it, it says X meaning it can’t read it. I tried blowing as the app says over 50 times but still not reading. Way too expensive to deal with this!

4.0 out of 5 starsBought mine April 2022, rarely used, until I got sleeve gastrectomy 10 days ago. Now that I want to use it daily, it won’t pair with the ketoscan app on my phone.I also got my son to install the app on his phone to see if that was the problem. No the device wouldn’t pair. For support on my Amazon which says contact manufacturer offered by ketoscan I got a useless site, and a phone number that the phone doesn’t connect to.I gave it 2 stars because I liked it when it did work.Edit: Turns out that the battery was low, somehow I missed the message on the device. All it needed was a recharge after a year and a half of owning it with spare use.

3.0 out of 5 starsI’m on day 4 of a water fast and the device reported i’m at 59-60 and seek medical attention. I’m a very healthy person with no diabetes and I guess for me, at this point in a water fast, I’ve got a lot of extra keytones. I think the device should ask if your fasting and maybe state that “if you also have high glucose levels… this could be dangerous blah blah. As it is right now it sounds like I’m dying but I’m actually feeling great.

5.0 out of 5 starsI am updating my review. Once I contacted the sales department I was forwarded to the correct email for service, and I received a quick response. They have made good on the repair and I’m satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 starsEasy to use. The app is simple. Results are clear. Unfortunately after 300 tests or so you have to get the device re-calibrated which involves a cost of shipping and re-calibration. Not exactly cheap.

1.0 out of 5 starsI do this test 3 consecutive times within 3 minutes and get 3 completely different results. This thing is a farce
Oswaldo Grassiotto –
2.0 out of 5 starsIt’s simple to use and will track your ketosis just as well as you can expect a breath analyser to.However it’s definitely collecting your data and sending it off to the company, not only that it also refuses to pair with your phone if you decide not to share your precise location, not sure why companies think it’s ok to adopt such shady practices. Requires sensor replacement after 320 tests and it can’t be done by the user nor bypassed somehow, you have to send it back and pay them so they can do the replacement or you’ve very much got yourself a fancy paperweight. The product is ok, the company behind it is not. If you haven’t bought one of these yet look elsewhere, there are better products available.

3.0 out of 5 starsI’m tracking for the keto diet, and so far this has been easy to use. I would love to be able to use it move often, but with only 300 tests before the device disables itself, I’m kinda regretting my purchase. The device just feels cheap, the plastic feels cheap. It’s doing what I need it to do, but I’m not really confident in my purchase especially after realizing the Ketonix device does the same thing, has an app, but does not have a limit on the number of usages.Live and learn- once I’ve run out of uses, I’ll decide on whether I want to go through the whole process of having to send it back for a new sensor or just switching to Ketonix and thinking of this as just a lesson learned with a high price tag.If there was not a limit on the number of tests, I would be a lot happier with my purchase.

4.0 out of 5 starsI can blow 3 time in 5 minutes and I get different values each time. I pair it with my keto meter because I am not sure it is accurate. It keeps me from doing finger sticks all the time so it works for me.
T2 –
5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve found this meter to be easy to use and reliable, and my results have always made sense (eg, low ppm when not fasting, high when fasting, etc). I often compare it to a blood ketone meter, and the results make sense; but this isn’t saying (at all) that they always match as the two things being measured have different dynamics within the body. Overall, this is easier and more portable than the blood ketone meter and is my preference. When I first got it, I found it a bit confusing to use when I was queuing off the sound, so I’d recommend this: when it gives a steady tone, blow into it, and when it gives a pulsed tone, stop. (I would mistakenly stop when I heard the steady tone, because it sounds like an “error” tone, but it’s not.)

1.0 out of 5 starsI paid for this expensive scanner ran out of times I could test. Paid for it to be reset and wasn’t calibrated correctly. Wrote a message and said they would send me a return slip and never received it! Were not helpful and stuck with a broken scanner and wasted money.

5.0 out of 5 starsI recently purchased the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter, and it has been a game-changer for my diet and fitness tracking. This portable breath acetone analyzer is designed to measure ketone levels and calculate body fat-burning rates in your exhaled breath. What I love most about this product is that it is non-invasive. There is no need to prick your fingers. Blow into the device for 3 seconds and get an accurate reading of your acetone levels. The device is also very user-friendly, displaying your results in PPM (Parts Per Million) on the built-in white dot matrix display, which can be viewed on the mobile app.Speaking of the mobile app, it is incredibly useful and easy to use. You can record and monitor your acetone levels and weight daily, weekly, and monthly, and track your calories with photos of the food you ate. It’s a great way to keep track of your progress and make informed decisions about your nutrition and fitness regime. What I found most impressive about the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter is its ability to calculate body fat-burning rates. This allows you to determine your optimal ketosis state and plan your nutrition and fitness regime accordingly. It’s a great tool for anyone on a low-carb, ketogenic, or other nutrition and fitness program.Overall, I highly recommend the V2 KETOSCAN Mini Breath Ketone Meter to anyone looking to monitor their fat metabolism and level of ketosis. It’s a reliable and easy-to-use device that has helped me to stay on track with my diet and fitness goals.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis Ketoscan Mini has made keto simple & uncomplicated. It’s easy to use once you learn how to breathe out correctly for it to register on the meter. I’ve been “keto cycling” the past couple of years. I do a few months on keto then a couple of months off. The idea of having to enter every ingredient of every food & the exact amount of each does not appeal to me AT ALL! It’s very overwhelming and when I’ve tried to track macros, I get very frustrated & the tracking doesn’t last long for me. With the Ketoscan Mini, I just check my ketones in the AM when I wake up every morning to have an idea of where I’m starting the day. Sometimes I’ll check it in the afternoon 3 hours after lunch. Some reviews have have complained about having to send the device calibrated. I’ve already done it once & am about to do it a 2nd time & it was a smooth & fairly quick process. Definitely worth the investment if you’re going to do keto long term. And I love that there’s no finger stick. I tried Keto Mojo when it first came out & would get an error repeatedly saying it needed more blood. This wasted expensive test strips & I hated the finger sticks! I highly recommend the Ketoscan Mini & will never go back to a blood meter.

2.0 out of 5 starsTo be fair, this worked better than the cheaper $50 breath analyzers for ketones. At least it didn’t give me zero readings after 24 hours of fasting. But I think the problem is that measuring ketones in a breath analyzer is brand new technology and it may take several years to iron it out with better engineering and more testing and more accurate sensors.I think that this company does care about the accuracy of this item, but the technology is just not there yet. I measured this readings compared (not to urine strips) but actual ketones in the blood in a ketone blood meter. There was quite a bit of difference. After 17 hours of fasting, the ketone breath analyzer said that I was at 1.0 and in the beginning stages of ketosis. But my blood test said that I was over 5 particles etc. The painful blood strips was definitely more accurateAlso, I found that by going outside away from cars or inside in an unused room, one minute later in the same place I could manipulate the breathalyzer readings to 2 or .01 particles by breathing harder or less, or starting the breath one second after the countdown had begun.I had great hope for this but it failed. I am so tired of needle punctures that I wanted this to work. But so far, the most accurate way is the blood test strips even though it can be painful and the strips are expensive. Accuracy is more important.

3.0 out of 5 starsUPDATED: I did receive an offer for a full refund following my review (as long as I mail them back the device), which I think speaks to the character of this company. Clearly they stand by their product and communicate with their customers effectively, which goes a long way. I might not have been thrilled with the device, but they care about the buyer’s experience, and I am impressed with the company. Given that it’s a while after I bought it, I cannot locate the device to return it for the refund- if I do find it, I will return it.Previous review: This is a waste of your money. Stick with the strips. I’ve gotten a reading off this thing three, maybe four times tops. It takes like ten tries over and over while I keep getting the flashing “X,” before so finally either give up or eventually get a reading. I wish I had the money for one that consistently works.

5.0 out of 5 starsEasy to use, seems to be accurate. The app doesn’t really have a lot of features but it can Track your progress

4.0 out of 5 starsIt’s comfortable, but always need do two times test, because it’s not working from the first time, and because here is limited numbers of tests, I am not happy about that

5.0 out of 5 starsSeems like accurate to me

5.0 out of 5 starsIf the equipment is as accurate as claimed, this is a game changer for me. Prior to purchase I had to guess whether I was in ketosis or use the pee strips which was a major pain. To those complaining about the $30 for recalibration after 300 readings- get over it. You don’t need to test every day, so that’s easily over a years readings. In fact I’m surprised it can go that long without recalibration. $30 is a small price to pay.

1.0 out of 5 starsNot accurate, tried within 30 seconds, get 2 Hugh different numbers. Also be aware: only can use 300 times. After that u need to spend more money and send back the unit to calibrate. I choose to return more than a week ago, since then my cellphone start to receive the scam calls everyday. UPS tracking showed it was delivered but I still not received the refund. I will see what happen.

3.0 out of 5 starsI understand that Breath is best for testing ketones. but this one is just way over complicated and time consuming for me. I’m a tech guy. and the time it takes to run a simple ketone test is long… I gave it a shot and passed my return date. so I’m stuck with it but would definitely return if I could. I’ve been keto for over 5 years now (sustaining a 150 Lb loss), and this is by far the most expensive purchase I made. Thinking it would be the most accurate, but it proved to be the most difficult and aggravating.

5.0 out of 5 starsI very much prefer this to ketone sticks. Very easy to use. I’ve checked it multiple times a day, and the longer I go in my fasting the higher my ketones. It helped me know how long it typically takes me to get to a good fat burning stage. Highly recommend.
