5.0 out of 5 starsI picked up this printer about two months ago and I’ve been having an absolute blast! I’m new the hobby of 3d printing and while looking for an affordable enclosed printer with little to no assembly I stumbled across Qidi Tech’s X-Smart 3 and couldn’t be happier. The print quality mixed with the speed is outstanding and the wide variety of filaments it’s able work with at its price makes it no brainer for beginners. To top it off the customer service is great and they respond incredibly quickly. I had an issue with getting a first print done due to my own user error. Unable to troubleshoot the problem myself I sent out an email, expecting to get a response in the next couple days, but got one in just a few hours! Annie thanks a ton for the advice! The suggested solutions worked great and fixed my issues in a matter of minutes.

2.0 out of 5 starsThe first time trying to use this printer, the filament wouldn’t come out. I contacted customer service with no help. My husband took it apart and found red filament plugging up the component (we were trying to use black filament-so it was already jammed before we even got to use our “brand new” printer). After that, my husband was able to get the standard files included with the printer to work. It was a pain in the butt to get other files to work with the printer, and even after figuring out how to get that hooked up, the file we are trying to print keeps jamming up and getting ruined. So, we’ve only been able to print a $400 fidget.

5.0 out of 5 starsI have quite a few 3D printers and have found that the Qidi ones have made me actually like printing again — it largely ‘just works’ when I send a print job.One of the few times it didn’t, the support team was fantastic (had a nozzle with a filament buildup/blob that caused it to break) and support was very responsive and when I sent them a picture of the issue I had they sent me replacement parts immediately without me even needing to ask. In the 3D printer space, this is very rare!Highly recommend this little printer and the Max3 as well! All in all, this printer has been fantastic when compared to my other printers that I’ve always got to tinker with and tweak to make prints that look decent. The ones on this printer just come out great.

5.0 out of 5 starsI really enjoy the speed and ease of use of this printer I have an ender 3 pro and and ender 3v2 and this x-smart 3 is leaps and bounds above those machines in terms of speed ease of use and features! I would also say customer support is very quick to respond to any issue you may have! I would buy another one today they are great machines!!

5.0 out of 5 starsI am on my second QIDI technology printer, not because my older one broke but because it was excellent. Since I bught my first printer, I never had to perform maintenance, it was plug and play from the get go. My new printer has been great, the improved speed was impressive. However, I accidentally ruined my hot end (my fault) and ordered a new one. The new one I received was not working so I reached out to customer support. The response was immediate. The company had a new hot end shipped to me before even fully explaining what my error code was. No questions (other than my shipping address), no back and forth, just replaced. I just installed the new one and everything is working perfectly again. I could not say enough good things about this printer or this manufacturer. Whether you are new or experienced this manufacturer is perfect.

5.0 out of 5 starsThis 3D printer is a game changer. The project s I have completed have been outstanding. Will say that I did reach out to the company customer support with a question and they immediately contacted me and resolved the issue I had which was on my end. They worked with me to resolve the issue ASAP which made me even happier that I purchased this 3D printer. They even followed up with me to ensure I was completing my projects correctly without issues. There are numerous 3D printers on AMAZON. I highly recommend this company, you won’t regret it. They are there for you and to ensure their products are working effectivly and ensure their product works as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 starsI’ve used Qidi printers for several years. From their X-Maker, X-Plus, X-Max, X-Smart, i-Mate… And now I have added their newer line the X-Smart 3, X-Plus 3 and a X-Max 3 to my collection. They completed several updates to the newer line that are truly fantastic. From a much quicker printing speed to a fairly full automated leveling system. (You still have to set the z-offset on the printer.)I will say the flexable metal plate is absolutly fantastic in terms of print removal. However, it almost works to well… I found lightly scratching the plate with a little sand paper will allow the print to adhear better. Some users on reddit recommended this and it helped ensure my prints didn’t accidently shift during the print process.I did run into a couple issues with my new X-Max 3 and one of the six X-Smart 3 units that I purchased. But, Qidi support was willing and able to help resolve the issue quickly. They’ve been easily the best 3D printer support I’ve seen. I will continue to use Qidi for many years to come!

5.0 out of 5 starsI use this along with my X-Max3 to print a variety of objects. Mostly engineered solutions or repair parts for things around the house and shop. I also do lithophanes of the grandkids and hang them on our picture window, great to see in the morning sun! I’m not crazy about the spool location on the back but have made an adapter with ball bearings to eliminate drag and allow easy TPU printing. Annie has been great for support issues and sending upgrade parts when needed. She is always responsive and knows her products very well.

4.0 out of 5 starsDoes a great job running these PVA parts.WE really like the internal support, as it’s easy to remove.Had some inital bugs which Qidi support helped out, but am living with the run out sensor not shutting down machine when out of filament. We have been running the daylights out of it as it is our primary production machine.

5.0 out of 5 starsI purchased the X Smart 3 not knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised by the overall build quality of the printer itself but also the print quality as well. I’ve owned several printers from other companies before and this was my first from Qidi. First off, the speed is incredible and I think what surprised me about it is that it quiet compared to the other high speed printers I’ve owned. I think a lot of that is the part cooling fan, which seems to be good quality and has a less aggressive noise than the other printers. Another thing I noticed was the overall stability of the printers/build plate. The other printers I’ve owned in this product rage..that being the high speed “core XY” printers is that the build plate is supported differently. The other printers I’ve used have all used a 3 point mounting system for the build plate, with each point consisting of a lead screw and a single point of contact supporting the build plate. This printer has two points of contact, but each of the two points consists of an elongated 2-3 inch underplate of sorts that supports the build plate structure. It really seems quite ridged and seems to create a better center of gravity/weight resulting in a lot less shaking than the other printers I’ve tried. The one thing that made me hesitant about this printer was that it has manual Z offset. However, I was very happy to discover that they have really made it easy to do that and it’s a one and done kind of deal. I recall with other printers I’ve had in the past having to do a calculation to figure out the offset, and on this printer it was as easy as stick the included calibration card under the nozzle and tap a button on the screen to raise/lower the bed until there was a little friction between the calibration sheet and the nozzle. It took like 10 seconds if that. The other thing worth mentioning is the customer support. Most companies have customer support that A. is during the day when I am normally at work and B. takes days to respond and C. has a convoluted process of submitting a support ticket, providing photos and video, etc. Qidi has really done a great job here in that they have literally just provided an email address to contact where you can send an email like a normal person and not jump through hoops, and someone who actually knows what they’re talking about will reply. I sent in a question about nozzle/hot end removal and got a reply in just over 1 hour. And here is the thing…it was like 12:30am EST. Most companies have some sort of hours where support is available from 9am-6pm or something like that, but that’s not most people are using their printers. People have jobs, families, activities, etc. I think their support hours are something like 8pm-8am EST, if you are someone who likes to do print stuff say as an after-work activity you can reach someone, but more importantly if you like to do things in the time between diner and bedtime you can get help. Honestly, it was one of the better customer support experiences I’ve had in a long time if only for the simplicity of it. I would add as well, that there were several exchanges that took place after I received the initial reply from them, and each message was answered in about 15 minutes or so. 5/5 starts for them on that.

5.0 out of 5 starsXSmart 3I came from a K1 Max and couldn’t be happier. Sure it’s a lot smaller build plate. But support and print quality has been hands down better than that I ever achieved from the K1 I returned.I am using the printer to print ABS parts for a Voron build and no problems. This thing is printing ABS better than the K1 did PLA. Had a very minor issue when I got the printer and instead of just returning it I thought I’d try and see how support handled things. Keep in mind support is in China so there is a big time difference from where I am in the US. But they responded and the parts got here fast.

5.0 out of 5 starsI am extremely happy with my Qidi X Smart-3. It’s super simple to use, SUPER fast, and makes excellent prints. So far, I have printed in PLA (regular, sill, glow in the dark) and some PETG – all with excellent results. Slicer is great and easy to use. And it’s easy to troubleshoot. I have had to take apart the extruder for stuck filament and replace the runout sensor (part replaced for free by customer service). Customer service is excellent, though the response is delayed since Qidi is based in China. What I like most is the additional camera I purchased, which allows me to monitor the print locally via wifi OR remotely using Octo Everwhere. It’s so Cool and reduces anxiety of print failure, which happens with all 3d printers. The only negative is the bed size. I have had to redesign or creatively cut and reassemble a few designs because they simply would not fit on the bed. While I think my skills in cutting, dove tails, and bolts/pegs are much better because of this, it’s something to be aware of.All in all a great printer and I have recommended it to many of my friends.

5.0 out of 5 starsRight out of the box it worked like a champ. Sadly I gave the firmware an update and found out I wasn’t supposed to. Thankfully the customer service was pretty awesome and helped me fix the problem. For the most part I have no issues with my printer, and even when I do I’ve been able to learn how to tweak settings and get them going right again so the learning experience has been good as well. Very happy with my first printer.

5.0 out of 5 starsI purchased this printer in March of 2024. I own a X Plus 3 printer as well. X Smart 3 printer has printing great with PLA Filament. When I switched over to PETG the Hotend couldn’t maintain temperature. I emailed tech support and Annie replied back and said it sounds like the Hotend and or controller board for the Hotend. She sent both. I changed both parts and that’s what it was. Printer working great. PETG no problem now, great job Annie. Thanks you ao much.
